A great place to stay!

Had an amazing time staying here. The accommodation is lovely, with fresh coffee every morning and so close to the beach. Giancarlo is the best host going, so friendly and welcoming. He made me feel right at home, drove me to the nearest ATM when I needed cash (bring lots of cash - the ATM is a long way out of Popoyo if you don't have transport and nowhere accepts card payments) and was an absolute legend when I needed to change my travel plans last minute. He knows what it's like to be a traveller and needing to change plans and is so understanding and accommodating of this. Such a genuine and lovely guy. Highly recommend staying here, it's right on the beach, has a supermarket and a very cool bar (Bus on the Beach) very close, and it's walking distance to the surf breaks and lots of restaurants. A great spot to stay in Popoyo/Guasacate

I spent a great 12 nights in Wild Waves, Guasacate. Gianni was a great host and Nolan took care of the day to day running perfectly. I did have a question about the WIFI as I had seen some comments saying it wasn't great ahead of my stay. Gianni put in a new system in time for when I arrived.
Perfect place to stay near Popoyo reef, a 5/10 min walk. It was much more convenient to stay in Guasacate there than in Popoyo itself.

Best place in Guacanaste

Best place to stay if you want to chill close to the beach. Everything is nearby (supermarket, beach, surf spots, restaurants, etc.). Ana and Gianni will make you feel like at home. Super recommended!

Great place to stay and surf!

We really enjoyed staying here, one of our favorite places in Nicaragua. Nice short walk to a good variety of surf breaks, and right on the beach front. The people here were very friendly, going out of their way to help us. Extra bonus is there was a smoothie blender in the kitchen that we could use! Cheers Gianni, Dayton, Ana, and Nolan!

Excellent Surf Hostel for Grownups!

Clean, quiet, small and safe. Great location. Right on the beach! Hammocks. Shared kitchen is always clean and a pleasure to cook in. Easy walk to great surf at Popoyo and Beginner's Bay. Restaurants and hangout spots nearby. Gianny, the owner, lives on site and is very hospitable. He can arrange surfboard rentals and lessons. My room was much nicer and cleaner than I was expecting. Definitely a GREAT value! I would definitely stay at Wild Waves again! If you want hostel prices and a shared kitchen with the cleanliness and quiet of a hotel, look no further!
