Hotel in nature

A hotel in the countryside, it should be called the green heart of Alem. The rooms are as in the photos, in addition there is always a delicious breakfast. There are many hiking trails, bicycle paths. Nature is right outside the door, with pastures, cows, sheep and horses.

Top spot in the Bommelerwaard

For a wildlife package, we traveled with friends to the village of Alem, fantastically located in the Bommelerwaard. The old inn there has something of nostalgia. Beautifully located, close to water, on a dike. Furnishings as it should be in an inn. Lots of brown tones but it's not boring. Large rooms with excellent bed and perfect shower room. Very friendly owners who are supported by their parents if necessary during busy times. The game arrangement was great. There was also nothing missing from the breakfast in the morning. We also think it would be nice to cycle in the area in the summer. This inn is highly recommended.

A pearl on a peninsula in the Meuse

A fantastic base for visiting with friends, among others. bike rides to Den Bosch, and/or take walks through the meadows and/or sail to Heusden in a sloop. Then it's nice to "come home" to the hospitable, energetic couple/owners (with catering training and experience). The cozy rooms of the inn are fully equipped, including excellent beds and a good shower. The breakfast is excellent and if you are lucky you can book on a weekend for gastronomic cooking in the evening.

Stunning property and lovely host

One night in the two bedroom suite. Great welcome. Owner had made efforts to keep the room cool with fan and curtains closed. Very characterful room and building. Thatch roof and exposed timbers. Lovely breakfast. Made welcome and clean and comfortable.

AWESOME PLACE TO STAY!!!! Highly recommended!!!!!

DON'T LOOK ANY FURTHER!!!! Angelique's place is definitely THE PLACE TO STAY when you travel through the beautiful and ever so stunning Bommelerwaard. Angelique is truly a diamond amongst thousands of gems and her hospitality knows no boundaries, she simply goes out of her way to make a guest welcome in every single way possible and making your stay absolutely unforgettable!!!! This is a 10-star-accommodation at its best!!!!!!
I'm still lost for words about everything, I couldn't have picked a better place to spent my Birthday weekend! It goes without saying that her home will always hold a *special place* in my heart and I hope to return some day soon! The room in the Cottage was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and what a comfortable bed with the best quality bedding; affording an extremely good night's sleep. The lovely bathroom awaited me with fluffy towels and gorgeous bath products. The location was fabulous - a short stroll (or drive, depending on your mobility) to the local pub/restaurant at the harbour for an exceptional great evening meal ... just PERFECT!!!
The Breakfast was simply to die for and ever so scrumptious ..., so many lovely choices, just want to try them all but the tuna salad as well as the crab salad were sooooo tasty and heavenly delicious!!! I hereby HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place to all the fellow travelers out there, you will never ever experience an accommodation like this!!!!! Despite the mosqito bites, I feel very blessed to have spent two nights here and wish I could've stayed much longer!!!
