5 star hotel at a good price
Choosing a hotel in Amsterdam can be difficult. A hotel in the city-center is very expensive, choosing this hotel 10 minutes outside of the city center cost the same, BUT in the city center you get a hostel with shared shower in the corridor, while this hotel is a 5 star hotel. The metro is literally a 2 minutes walk from the hotel and the train leaves every 5-9 minutes and goes directly to the centralstation (smack bang in the center) in less that 10 minutes around the clock every day. So this hotel is a perfect example of how to get the best for less money. The hotel itself is a true Marriot style hotel. Extremely clean in every aspect. Really great rooms with everything you need. A updated and top notch bathroom. A big TV in the room with all the channels you could ask for. I measured the Wi-Fi speed to about 25 mbit/s - a completely OK speed. A totally outstanding bed, probably the best bed I have ever slept in in a hotel. Really nice furniture. A very-very good breakfast with really nice staff. The breakfast had everything I could ask for. Amazing frontdesk staff. There is not one single thing that is bad at this hotel. While it isn,t a true 5-star hotel (luxury-hotels have more amenities) , it,s easy to give this a 5 star rating anyway. This is probably the best hotel you can choose if you want value for money, and cheap luxury and don,t mind the short trip to the citycenter. Top 5 star hotel !

Ideally situated for concert venues and transport links to the airport and Central Amsterdam.

Breakfast was dissapointing. No Greek/natural yogurt for the last 4 days of my staying. Omellete was cold, made with no real eggs. and Please put a Decaff coffee on those machines! Not staying there anymore.

We booked a higher-category double room, but upon arrival the room did not match the photos. The layout was noticeably different — the wall with the window was only half-width, making the space feel smaller, darker, and somewhat cramped.
Since we arrived around midnight, I immediately asked the receptionist if we could switch to a room that actually matched the advertised photos. I was told that no such room was available.
However, the next morning around 8 a.m., the situation changed. After an initial dismissive response to my wife’s complaint, I approached the reception myself. At that moment, the staff did not realize we were together and I overheard them discussing our case, referring to us as “the guests who want the normal room,” which strongly suggested they were aware that our assigned room was inferior.
Shortly after, they showed us another room — one that fully matched the photos and our expectations — and moved us there. From that point on, our stay was satisfactory.
Overall, the experience was negatively affected by the initial handling and lack of transparency, despite the eventual resolution.

Brilliant staff at the reception desk as well.as at breakfast service. Vast, frrsh ans tasty Breakfast spread . Spacious room with specious bathroom (i had double.room).close to a train station. 20mins to centre by train
