Helped to arrange train service
Oraine was very helpful in getting handicap assistance for our train trip to our next destination. I was frustrated in trying to get it done but he saved the day for me.

As a regular guest the Crowne Plaza South, I was really disappointed with the Club Lounge. I stayed at the hotel three nights, and the expresso machine was never working despite having mentioned it to the front desk staff. The snacks (chips, some fruit, a bowl of nuts, and soft drinks) were few and seemed to be seldom monitored. The previously provided happy hour wine was gone, although lounge members were offered one complimentary drink per day in the hotel bar two flights below.
The lounge was always several degrees cooler than the rest of the hotel; it was uncomfortable and uninviting. I feel the added fee for the club-floor room was money wasted.
But the Crowne Plaza South still remains my hotel of choice in Amsterdam. The rooms are comfortable with plenty of space in which to move around. Its culinary service is fantastic with a freshly cooked breakfast buffet and a sit-down restaurant serving Asian fusion cuisine. It's in a great location with nearby public transit to the downtown area, the airport, and other cities in the Netherlands.

Good location
Nicely located near the Zuid station. Handy for the RAI and for the stadium and with a good metro to get into the city . The room was clean but having to put the cleaning notice out the day before is a bit annoying. Staff very friendly. Very much liked the George Gershwin theme. Did not eat breakfast or go to the restaurant. Was a bit pricey but perhaps due to it being the Grand Prix weekend. Would stay again for sure at a better price point. Lots of nice restaurants and cafes close by.

Dear Robert,
Thank you for staying with us and for sharing your impressions. We are pleased our location near Zuid suited your visit, with easy connections that many guests value—Schiphol by train in around eight minutes and the city center by metro in about fifteen—while the Zuidas area offers a calmer base with plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby.
It is great to hear you found the room clean, the team welcoming, and the George Gershwin touches enjoyable. We understand that arranging housekeeping in advance may feel inconvenient; preferences vary, and we appreciate you noting this.
Should you join us for breakfast next time, we aim to accommodate different tastes with two substantial buffets featuring both hot and chilled selections, complemented by a live omelet station.
Thank you again for the feedback. We hope to welcome you back to Crowne Plaza Amsterdam - South, ideally at a time that suits your plans and budget.
Kind regards,
Julia from Crowne Plaza Amsterdam - South

Convenient Location and Quiet Surroundings
The hotel is conveniently located about a five-minute walk from Amsterdam Zuid Station, which made it very easy for us to get around during our five-night, six-day stay. There are many office buildings in the surrounding area, so the neighborhood was relatively quiet and peaceful, which we appreciated.
One thing that could be improved was the attitude of some of the staff. Their manner sometimes felt a little formal and not particularly warm or welcoming. A friendlier and more attentive approach would have made our stay even more pleasant.
That said, whenever we made a request, the staff responded promptly and took care of the matter without delay. We appreciated their efficiency and willingness to address our needs.
Overall, we were satisfied with the convenient location, excellent transportation access, and quiet surroundings. With a little more warmth and friendliness in the customer service, this hotel could provide an even better experience for its guests.

Immaculate hotel, fantastic location, hidden gem
We stayed in Crowne Plaza Amsterdam as a family of 4 and it was perfect!
The staff were very amazing and nothing was too much trouble.
We realised ahead of our stay that we needed to reconfigure the rooms so we phoned and spoke to Antonette Bos and it was changed without question. There was no call waiting time, we got straight through to the hotel. Thank you Antonette.
The rooms were immaculate, spacious with a fridge, water and plenty of storage spaces and opening windows. The air conditioning/heating was really ease to use.
During the night my son wanted some iced water (he was feeling a bit under the weather), a staff member (Shalom) who was carrying out housekeeping during the night stopped and went to the bar and brought us up some ice and water.
Location is amazing, a short walk from Zuid Tram Stop which takes you straight into the city centre. The Zuid Tram Stop also serves the airport (6 mins travel!).
There are some lovely parks within walking distance and Crowne Plaza offers competitive bike hire through the hotel.
Thank You! We'll be staying with you again!
