The 5 stars are especially for the girl at reception named Anika, always available, very sociable, very good in languages.
The location of the hotel is 5 minutes from the station, very central and from here you can reach everything easily being well connected.
The rooms, despite the negative reviews about the cleanliness of the various hotels in Amsterdam, were not as we expected since they were not entirely poorly run down but were normally clean.
Definitely will return, because we were pleased with the stay.

Great Location, But That’s About It
When we arrived, there was no one at reception, no bell or buzzer to get anyone’s attention, and we waited 25 minutes before someone finally appeared with no apology, just a casual “I was doing a room inspection.” Not a great first impression.
The room itself was tiny but at least the bedding was clean. The pillows, however, were awful—more like overstuffed sofa cushions. The curtains had cigarette burns all over them, which wasn’t exactly reassuring. I stayed in Room 401 on the top floor, and getting there was a workout in itself. The stairs were extremely steep and narrow, making it a struggle to go up and down.
Cleanliness was another big issue. While the rooms were being cleaned, the hallways were left in a complete mess, with rubbish all over the floors, making it so you had to climb over the trash just to get past. To make matters worse, one cleaner left a hoover plugged in with the wire stretched across the top of the stairs, about 20 inches off the floor—a major trip hazard.
The bathroom was okay, nothing special but functional. Unlike some reviews I read, my room did have a window, and I’ll say the view was probably the best thing about the stay.
Would I stay here again? Absolutely not. For the price, you’d be better off staying in a hostel. This place just isn’t worth the money.

Run away while you can
Cleanliness shines through its absence, beds are a mess, rooms are inclined, the smell is unpleasant and bathrooms are third world. Something worthy if it was backpacking for India, but not in Amsterdam. The only good thing is the only thing.
I don't recommend it.
