A no frills but decent room in an outstanding location
The hotel is quite basic, but sufficient for a week break for the two of us. The location is aboslutely fantastic, being just a few minutes walk from Museumplein and incredibly convenient. Close to Jordaan and Vondelpark as well.
Keep realistic expectations of the room you're going to get for the price, but it was clean, and well kept.

Great hotel, great location, great price!
Having stayed here a few times over the years I must say its a great place to stay. Ideally located amongst central Amsterdam, the rooms have always been clean, quiet and comfortable! Shopping is just around the corner!

Great location & top floor
Two friends of mine and myself stayed at the Bellington for five nights, in a top floor room. The room could have fitted one more person.
I enjoyed the room, a simple layout, designed just for what it is for, sleeping. Small bathroom, but enough to get by with. The hotel was narrow steep stairs, typical in Holland, which is why if you have physical limitations or really bad physical condition, I would recommend getting one of the lower floor rooms, or a different location (no lift in this hotel). Very basic setting in the room, a small fridge where you could keep some drinks etc. No electronic kettle, which would have been nice for some tea or coffee. The plugs are midway along the wall, so an extension cable or just a long charger comes in handy, mine was too short, so my phone was hanging on the wall.
The room was tidy and was cleaned every day (we told the cleaner a couple days that there was no need). They kept the top floor fire escape door open all the time (air ventilation?), which I thought was a bit odd, and a slight security risk.
Like many others have mentioned, great location. Just a short walk away from everything, and just near a metro/bus stop. The hotel is along a rather fancy shopping street, with Gucci etc stores.
Overall, a good hotel to stay, if you just looking for a place to crash and don't need any special services. I enjoyed myself and I don't see any reason why I wouldn't stay here again!
A couple of suggestions / ideas for the hotel:
Rearrange the electrical plugs or get some extension cables.
Some more possibilities for choosing cleaning etc, for example a "no need for cleaning / do not disturbed" sign. Some hotels use a sign which you leave on the bed if you want your bedclothes changed, so there wouldn't be a need to change them everyday, same with the towels (dirty on the floor, clean ones hanging up etc.)
A boiler, so guests could heat water for tea or coffee.

Good budget stay
Stayed here 3 nights and have say it was ok..located on fancy designer street, it certainly isnt keeping with the area, but it's cheap its in a good location..was warm and clean and apart from the noisy guy who cleaned the rooms( had a very loud phone conversation at 7.30am)..cant fault it.We had room 2..a triple with a wet room with cracking shower,large balcony and little fridge..would certainly suit young travellers more due to steep stairs and basic interior.. enjoyed our stay though..and we were able to check out at 1pm..

Nice stuff excellent location!
We stayed in this Hotel during our trip the room was ok for 3 people and its really close to the museums and Leidsplein where all the life is! The stuff was nice and waited us till midnight for us to arrive and also gave us info and a map for what to do during our stay! Really recommend it.
