Arrived to find out that the hotel was not air conditioned, as we expected it to be. High temps expected in the 80s-90s F (30s C)! 😳 But the room had a portable fan and all was FINE! Room was very comfortable, including bed, amenities, shower, etc. Helpful & friendly staff (esp. Boaz & Jesse). Convenient, safe 4-5 block walk to/from Amstel metro station. Would stay there again in a heartbeat…

Really disappointing experience at Hotel Casa Amsterdam.
From the beginning, the staff were dismissive and not accommodating - first impression. But the worst part happened after we checked out.
We accidentally left a valuable speaker in the room. About an hour later, we called the hotel, told them exactly where it was and where we had left it. They then claimed that nothing had been found.
Honestly, that is very hard to believe. An item does not just disappear from a hotel room within an hour. It makes me seriously question what happened and whether hotel staff can be trusted.
I told them I would be reporting it as theft and asked to speak with management. After that, they simply stopped responding.
It is not even about the money. The speaker had sentimental value, which makes the whole situation even worse.
I would never recommend this hotel to anyone who values honesty, good customer service and feeling that their belongings are safe.

Well priced comfortable hotel
Very well priced, 5min walk from Amstel station. Good size bright rooms and very clean. Good sound isolation between the room but not from the hallway, there you can hear knocks on other doors.
Loved the firmer bed. No real AC, worked for us perfectly when it was 27C outside, maybe will be too warm during a heatwave.

Upon arrival at the hotel, a city tax was requested. They don't accept cash, and card payments were a bit cumbersome because the card wasn't active for international use for a while. During this time, my 7-month-old baby became very fussy and cried after the long journey, and the staff showed no interest whatsoever. I don't think I'll stay at this hotel again. I don't think they are baby-friendly.

Great Hotel with Many Options
We stayed at the hotel for 6 days. We liked it very much. We were on the top floor so we had a great view. The hotel has many facilities as it is a dorm and a hotel. Good food in the restaurant. Laundry facilities are in the building. It’s in the East part of Amsterdam so it’s quiet. Try it!
