Very quirky and unusual but I enjoyed my stay here, and slept well.
I was not sure about this hotel when I booked it but it turned out to be a great place. It is in a good location, with some nice pubs and places to eat nearby. It is walking distance to Vondelpark, and a couple of minutes walk to the main 17 tram to Dam Square/ central station. You can simply tap your credit card on the tram when you get on and off to pay.
The hotel is very quirky. I stayed in a larger room (the upstairs Blue Room (which had its own shower, toilet and sink) but many of the rooms had shared ablutions. The blue room had plenty of space, and a comfortable bed. Some of the other rooms included a double bed inside a mini-van (in the middle of a library (where the book shelves rotated to reveal other bedrooms!). There was a church facade with two rooms, and a mirrored corridor with some rooms. The bar did not function as a bar but you could purchase snacks and alcohol from reception and drink it in the bar area. There was no TV in the rooms (which did not cause me any issues), but there was free WiFi.

Amsterdam is an expensive city, and this place served its purpose by providing a clean and affordable place to stay. Overall, the room appeared clean; however, the fans in the room were noticeably dusty and could benefit from a thorough deep clean, as they circulate dust around the room.
One aspect I found inconvenient was the location of the restrooms. They were situated on the ground floor directly opposite reception. If privacy or modesty is important to you, this may not be the ideal setup. Had I known this in advance, I would have specifically requested or chosen a room on the ground floor to avoid repeatedly going up and down and walking through a public area to access the facilities.
That said, there is no doubt that this is a quirky and unique place to stay. I genuinely appreciated the creativity and effort that has gone into making it different from a standard hotel or hostel experience. Its character and individuality are part of its charm.
Overall, for a budget-friendly stay in Amsterdam, it met my basic needs while offering something a little different.

Amazing hotel, so clean, facilities are great perfect for a short stay or even a long one. The staff are incredible and so helpful. The hotel is so funky even down to the little details. We really enjoyed our stay and will 100% be coming again. Recommended highly! Also a short journey to city centre via public transport, was so easy to navigate, also nice places to eat and drink within the area!

Very good location just outside of the City, but the tram stop is at the top of the road so it only takes 25 mins to easily get in. Room was very clean and quiet. Bed was comfy and enough space for two people easily. Enough washrooms so that you'd never be waiting around for a long time for the shower.

Funky Hotel in the suburbs - cheap and cheerful with its own bar
Nice funky hotel and our room was well priced for the city of Amsterdam. less than 5 min walk off the 17 Tram caught at Amsterdam Central Station. The room is small be warned - The bed fills it - There are 2 hangers on back of door - Bathroom does what it needs to do - nice large shower - tiny sink. There is zero storage to put anything away or off the ground - This was fine for us as we were just there one night with an small backpack. All I'd suggest is some shelves up above the head just to be able to put stuff out the way. beyond that no issues - all very clean and comfortable and very friendly staff.
