Lovely hotel in a great location

Stayed here with my wife (double room) and two friends (second double room) for three nights in May.
Hotel is in a great location, being an easy 20 minute walk from the main train station, as well as an easy walk to the main points on interest in the city.
Staff are super friendly, with a warm welcome.
Rooms are a good size, very clean and well appointed.
Didn’t have breakfast here, although we did have a couple of drinks in the hotel bar on the ground floor. Good cocktails and friendly service.
Overall a lovely and central hotel where you can get a good nights sleep. Well worth a visit.

Convenient hotel with very helpful staff

This is a lovely hotel that is conveniently located to public transport. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and were more than happy to offer tips about where to eat, what to do, and how best to get around. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Lovely, friendly hotel

This is a lovely hotel. Very comfortable and well-placed. We could easily navigate to different parts of the city. Breakfast was the only meal available at the hotel but there are many cafes and restaurants within a 5 - 10 minute walk. The staff are so friendly and professional, and were a wealth of knowledge. Highly recommend - I would definitely stay there again.

A haven of tranquility in Amsterdam

We loved our stay at Monet Garden in Amsterdam. My husband, our two boys (12 and 16) and I stayed in room 517, and the room was spacious, with proper beds for everyone rather than fold-out beds or sofa beds, which is so often the case. This made a huge difference to our comfort. The beds were, in fact, so comfortable they are genuinely worth commenting on, especially those lovely pillows!
On arrival, we were warmly welcomed and given complimentary drinks while the friendly staff talked us through everything we needed to know about getting around the area and finding the main tourist sights. It was a wonderful touch, and one I noticed was routinely offered to guests at check-in.
The hotel itself has a beautifully calm, tasteful atmosphere and decor. It feels like a little retreat of peace and tranquillity, which was exactly what we were hoping for when we booked it.
Location-wise, the hotel is around five minutes from the Waterlooplein tram and metro stops, and roughly a 20-minute walk from Centraal Station. We used the tram and metro to travel all over the city and also did plenty of walking. Amsterdam is a wonderfully compact city to get around, and the public transport is excellent.
Overall, this was a fantastic first visit to Amsterdam, hopefully not our last, and I would definitely book Monet Garden again.
