Don’t be put off by the location
We had a great experience at this hotel. It was super easy ( once we figured out the train schedule ) and quick to get there from the airport by train. The train station entrance is literally right outside of the hotel, as well as the metro station entrance. Two stops to the center of the city. A great grocery store across the street, a beautiful terrace restaurant 10 minutes walk from the hotel. Young cheerful staff at the reception. We loved the room design, the city view, the rooftop bar had fantastic vibe. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but it looked great. We would come back without a doubt.

Premium with View > Junior Suite
I’m writing this minutes after checking in, while lying horizontal on the very comfy (but firm) bed. The staff is lovely and the vibes are positive - BUT I’m underwhelmed by the rooms.
We booked a Premium Room with a View + Bathtub. Originally, we were assigned room number 1909, with expansive views. However, the bath (as lovely as it looked) took up too much space in the room, so we opted to change. Our choices were downgrade or upgrade, so we upgraded to a Junior Suite.
In my opinion, it’s not worth the extra $ to upgrade, and I wish we’d have just stayed in the Premium with a view. (I am too embarrassed to ask to change again!)
Although the Junior Suite is large, with a big jetted tub and separate sitting room, the layout is terrible, and the toilet lacks privacy.
The WC has a frosted glass door, which is just inches from the bed, and there are gaps all around it. When I have to inevitably use the toilet overnight, the light and sound will surely wake up my husband. Using the toilet in this room type involves an audience… and I get stage fright!
Our specific suite on the 12th floor has a less desirable view, too, with tall buildings blocking views of the Amstelpark.
If toilet and/or shower privacy matters to you, don’t “upgrade” to the Junior Suite; stick with the Premium (on a high floor) like I wish I had done.

Absolutely recommended!
My trip to Amsterdam was mainly due to the concert of Harry Styles, which I attended. So I chose this hotel because of it‘s location in Amsterdam Zuid (ideal situated between the Johan Cruijf Arena and the inner city circle). It‘s a very short walking distance to get to the metrostations Rai and Europaplein.
I loved the hotel - first of all because of its special shape and design, but also because of its creative vibe in the hall, room and breakfast area (which is btw located on the 17th floor - a splendid view is guaranteed). The breakfast offered a nice variety of food aswell as beverages. And last but not least, the staff was very helpful and friendly.

Wonderful hotel, excellent location
Wonderful hotel. Excellently decorated. Nice staff.
We had a standard room but it was large and spacious with plenty of room for us to unpack our luggage. Great lighting (that’s one of my biggest gripes on hotel rooms).
Very comfortable & massive bed.
Lovely shower & bathroom with nice toiletries and amenities.
Moana lounge on the first floor was great. Emil was our waiter - he was so attentive, friendly and kind, fantastic team member…
Great location, right next to Amsterdam Rai Station and Metro for getting in and out of town easily.
We loved it. Would highly recommend.
Took a nice stroll to AmstelPark on Sunday where they had a market on.

We booked a Premium Corner Room, but unfortunately our first room was disappointing. We were on a floor with guests from a hockey tournament, with equipment left outside rooms which made the corridor smell like a gym. The room itself had dirty surfaces, some wear and tear, the bathroom door wouldn’t fully close, and the bed was two single beds pushed together.
We spoke to reception and they were very accommodating, moving us to a much better room. The staff throughout our stay were very helpful and our room was cleaned well.
A few other downsides were that the TV didn’t have Netflix, YouTube or Chromecast, and the fridge made a loud noise at night. Only one bottle of water was provided for two guests, although reception happily provided another when we asked.
Overall, the second room was much better and the staff were excellent, but the initial room and some of the amenities could be improved.
