Helpful staff and in a good location near shopping, sites and cafes. Also like the complimentary snacks and beverages!

Traveling in Amsterdam

Location is perfect. Quite pricey for the hotel. Towels were torn but clean. Room was comfortable. The location was the best feature . Employees were very helpful.

A perfect base for Amsterdam

We stayed here in a very hot August week but the Highlander was a lovely oasis of cool and calm.
The room was perfect, clean, comfortable and with air con. Breakfast good each morning and the free bar was a great addition for a cold drink.
Staff were very welcoming and helpful.
The hotel may not be in the canals but it’s mere minutes away. Easy walk or tram from the station and Dam Square.
We would definitely return.

3 nights stay at highlander

We had a good stay at the higlander for our family trip in Amsterdam. We stayed 3 nights . The hotel is located 10 mins from Amsterdam Centraal. If u have big luggage it is really hard to pull it from the train station. We had a little hiccup on the first night, half of the room had power and half didn’t , we never realize we had to put the key card in to have power in the full room. The room was ok, but small we stayed on the red floor. Toilet , bathtub and sink all located separately. Iron is not in the room but u can request it the will give u. They give water on the first day but no additional on extra night u stay. The 5 star for this hotel is in the lobby they give free snacks, drinks (beer and wine) and soda, sparkling water from 12 noon to might night. Breakfast was also available in the morning at the lobby, breakfast was some fruits , pastries, egg , pancake , bacon. Regular stuff , overall ok experience staying at this hotel.
