The worst room I ever had
The worst hotel I've been to in at least 30 years.
Reception in English only. The already paid night price was suddenly 0.70 cents more expensive and I had apparently only booked for one person. In my booking paid with Paypal and confirmed by Bastion was 2 adults. Then I apparently had too little money in my Paypal account (which books directly from my bank account) and because I had 2 adults on the confirmation, the system was then confused said the receptionist?????
In room 20, (according to another receptionist, the downstairs floor is only for workers, who apparently do not need a clean room with a good mattress) the bathroom was so small, that large persons could not shower and wash without getting everything wet, when brushing my teeth I hit my head on the shelf, because the sink was so small, when washing hands, most of the water landed on the floor and the toilet was hardly room to sit. The toilet seat looked well used. The wall of the shower is about 50 cm shorter than the bed. Also dirty stains on the ground and mold on the ceiling. The shower head could not be secured and fell down again and again and the water alternated between cold and warm.
The room was badly lit ‘in the evening you could not read anything, the light switch between the two beds did not work, heating rusted and the mattresses punctuated with pits, I almost fell out of the bed at night.
1 thing was positive, the TV of estimated 1.20 m was ultra modern.
When we went out in the morning, a receptionist sat in a seat in the hall with her legs over a handrail hanging on her mobile.
I feel sorry for workers who are housed there.
I came as a tourist and felt like a refugee, who must be happy to have been given a bed!!
Unfortunately, I didn't look closely at the feedbacks beforehand, but I have now seen that many people think like me.
Receptionists at the desk in a Dutch hotel should at least speak Dutch and know what they are doing. The fact that the cleaning lady can't is not interesting.
Maybe one day the management will do something about those things, which many guests criticize in their feedback!!!
I'll check hotels and write an honest opinion. By the way, I have a Dutch talking receptionist, yesterday also told my story personally.

Food poisoning
After a car ride of about 50 minutes and a long working day, we wanted to dine quietly in your restaurant. Unfortunately, this has turned into a very disappointing and unacceptable experience.
After waiting for more than 1 hour we received our appetizer. The carpaccio turned out to be spoiled; a strong spoiled smell came off while the plate was warm. In addition, the pre-served break bread was so hard that it was barely edible. After we returned the first carpaccio, we received a new one. This one seemed fine at first glance, but unfortunately I became seriously ill after eating. I have had a severe food reaction, the consequences of which I am still suffering

Bastion, for short and business it can just.
For short stays it is good, you have to book Deluxe then you are higher up in the building and the room is better. Breakfast is reasonable. However, evening food is sometimes bad, 1st evening waited more than 20 minutes for service, which did not come, fortunately there is a Mc Donalds next to it, but eaten. the next evenings it was better and there were several servants.
Annoyance is the English language, people speak poor Dutch. Big annoyance is the bullshit with invoices, and the unavailability of the "system". I've been through this a few times now, invoices they can't produce, or just don't add up. They promise to send the invoices by e-mail which they do not do.

Bad hotel in a good location
Hotel rooms were dirty, lots of dust on the floor.
Shower head holder broken so the shower head did not hang properly.
Also experienced dinner in the hotel, if we wanted extra sauces with our food it was just finished. Unfortunately.
