Nice and nice B&B

Second time we have been a weekend in this B&B. What a lovely, cosy and clean B&B in a lovely location. This time we had poldersuite 1 which was just a palace! The rooms have a nice and spacious walk-in shower. The breakfast is very extensive and good.. The owners are very friendly and respond quickly to questions. If we go to Texel again then we will undoubtedly stay here again.

Nice location, good hygiene, but missed the warmth of the owners of the B&B

Reception was fairly cold, no extra information regarding cycling routes, only about activities in the nearest village. No explanation where to find cutlery, so we had to stir our milk into the coffee with our fingers. When we brought breakfast, we still didn't know where to find everything (namely in a cupboard in the hallway). The breakfast is also not cleaned up, you have to put it in the hallway yourself (not a problem in itself, but an explanation about this might have been nice, so that we still did not end up with dirty plates in our room in the evening). The next morning there weren't even any plates available and we had to bother them even more. She went to get them out of the dishwasher, so we had breakfast again later than 9am. So breakfast wasn't until 9am, which was even fifteen minutes later on the first day. For travelers who like something to do during their morning, this is certainly not the right location. We could have breakfast at Hotel Boutique itself at 8am (1km away), but then we had to pay another 10 euros per person. The stay was already pricey, so this was not an option. There was no shampoo or shower gel, when I asked, I was given her can of shampoo. So nice that we got it, it's a pity that it wasn't there as standard, which is usually a given at a B&B. We missed the warmth of a B&B, we do at least 2 every year. We always choose someone's home, especially for the extra explanation, the hospitality,... but we really missed this here, which meant that the other things came on top. . Small points for improvement would have disappeared into nothing if we could feel the warmth of a B&B.
Although a nice room, good hygiene, nice bathroom and the breakfast at Hotel Boutique was excellent.
