Very stylish and clean

We stayed 2 nights at The Islands.
Very stylish and clean hotel.
However, it is very noisy, you can hear others walking. Especially a bit annoying when you are still sleeping in the morning and you can already hear the cleaning lady scurrying around in the hallway.
The toilet was also too high for me, I could barely reach the ground with my toes, even though I am just 1.70 tall.
The hotel is in a prime location and is easy to walk from the large car park by the ferries.
A tip: check-in must be at hotel / restaurant sea view on the corner of the street. We did not know this and had to go back and forth with all our stuff. Small effort but still good to know in advance.

Only internet wifi connection is out of date. Watching Netflix or Internet TV etc. is too slow for it.

Unbeatable Location!

We stayed at this charming boutique hotel with just seven rooms, and it was one of the highlights of our extended trip. The location was unbeatable—harbour views from our window and less than a five-minute walk to restaurants, the train station, and a local market. The ferry to nearby islands was just two minutes away, making day trips incredibly easy.
Our room was beautifully designed with a thoughtful layout that made remote work comfortable and seamless. The service was exceptional: even with our “Do Not Disturb” sign up, staff kindly left fresh towels, coffee, and toiletries at our door. That kind of attention to detail really stood out.
The only thing we missed was a small microwave in the room, which would’ve added a bit more convenience. Overall, a wonderful stay and a place we’d happily return to.

Lovely 2 night stay in Harlingen

Perfect stopover in Harlingen.
We had room 6 on the top floor overlooking the canal. Bright and spacious with very comfortable bed. We are traveling by bicycles and they have a separate secure garage to store the bikes.
Check in was at the hotel about 70 meters away.

We liked our stay very much, the receptionist was very friendly and helped us instandly with every question. Parking is easy but expensive, but this is due to the cities public parking tarifs. EV charging on many spots around the corner. The Hotel has a very good breakfast.
