Super hotel right in the centre.
What a super experience. We booked this for 1 night for a Saturday night stay having visited the restaurant previously and so we knew it was smack bang in the centre of Leeuwarden. The room was one of the Deluxe options with a king sized bed, powerful shower and a little more space than the slightly cheaper option. Our room looked over the main square where you could hear and see everyone having a good time. We were advised in advance of some possible noise disruption due to it being a Saturday night and they clear the whole restaurant out to make way for a dance floor come 10pm. Because we knew this in advance it did not affect us at all. We actually joined in with the fun until the early hours of the morning, dancing and drinking super delicious cocktails. We were happy to see people of all ages and not just a young crowd as we are not so young ourselves and so it was a nice mix and a good atmosphere. The stay included a breakfast with unlimited tea or coffee and the light breakfast consisted of boiled eggs, some breads and jams. ALL the staff we had contact with were very helpful and friendly and always had a smile. My tip would be not to stay here on a Friday or Saturday unless you want to join in with the fun, so for a quieter stay, book midweek. Prices direct with the hotel are extremely competitive compared to other hotels in the area and we were more than happy and we will return for sure.

Never again!
The cocktails there are very bad!
Small Coke with the bacardi. Mojito only had 3 mint leaves in it and no alcohol..rete expensive.No friendly service on the terrace

Top hotel
Everything is well arranged. If you have a problem, it will be resolved very quickly. Staff very friendly and helpful. This hotel is recommended to everyone. Steep stairs less suitable for the elderly.

Highly recommended.
We received an email on the day of arrival with instructions of how to gain access to our rooms however this email was only in Dutch which none of us speak. However on arrival I approached one of the waiting staff in the bar/ restaurant who was extremely helpful and explained how the link worked and how I could unlock the rooms with my phone. All the rooms are individual and located on the first and second floor. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and equipped with everything you may need. No baths only walk in showers which wasn’t an issue for us but may be for some people. The bed was really comfortable. There is no lift so be aware that the stairs are quite steep and the second floor is reached by four flights of stairs which is a little challenging if you have heavy luggage. This is quite common in older Dutch hotels.
The rooms were extremely quiet both from within the hotel and externally.
Breakfast was very good . Prepared and served by the most delightful young lady each day . Probably the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever had in a hotel.
Parking is available in a huge public underground car park with pedestrian access immediately across the square from the hotel although the road entrance is in a different street. Follow the given post code for the car park in your sat navigation system and the park in area “A” and take the nearest lift/ stairs.
We only used the restaurant one night during our stay but the food and service were very good.
All in all a very enjoyable stay.
