Tasteless food

Very good quality.
Table was sticky so we had asked if it could be cleaned. With the cutlery in one hand and a wet cloth in the other, the waitress cleaned our table but it was still sticky! The food was mediocre, my stuffed pork tenderloin was tasty but my girlfriend's cod tasted bland.
For dessert I had new York cheesecake with berry ice cream.. the ice cream was nice the cheesecake tasted after nothing. I might as well have chewed my napkin.
Too bad Van der Valk used to be very nice now it is expensive for the quality of the food. I should have gone to the snack bar.

Only thing I’d like was a shoe horn on the room 😂
The rest was fantastic! We will definitely return.
We did not take breakfast tho. I’m gastric operated and 22€ isn’t worth it for someone like me.

A top afternoon

Enjoyed a delicious, extensive brunch this afternoon with family at Van der Valk in Leeuwarden. We were assigned a beautiful spot after we were received by welcoming ladies and offered a drink. Arriving at our table we were warmly welcomed by our host Ruben. A winner with ambitions and an asset for Van der Valk. Partly because of his kindness we will definitely be back. Same goes for the rest of the team. The combination of brunch and staff (thanks in part to Ruben) deserves a 10!
