Very nice apartment with great views and close to Thorn
We stayed in a 2 person apartment. Beautiful, new, spacious and fully equipped. Fine details such as a mosquito net in the bedroom and possibility to cool slightly (no air conditioning). The view over the lakes (with sunset) is amazing. Also nice is that the nice village of Thorn is 1.5 km walk (or cycling).

Lovely weekend enjoyed in a house on the water
We made a last minute decision to spend a weekend here with our 2 dogs. we booked a house on the water which was a beautiful setting especially given the high temperatures.
The house was modern and equipped with everything you need the air cooler was a blessing. The outside garden was large and fully fenced in so safe for the dogs, there was a lovely sitting area overlooking the water and a BBQ.
We didn’t visit any of the facilities on site only the shop we did however venture down to the beach area which was nice but be warned it’s over 1.5 kms away. The white village of Thorn just across the drawbridge is worth a visit with plenty of restaurants and a Lidl.
Overall we had a lovely weekend made special by the location of the house I am not sure we would have enjoyed our time as much if we had been in the centre of the park with so many houses close together

Fun vacation!
We had a great time in the house.
We stayed in a children's villa for 8 people. We loved the villa, real luxury! Also nice and fresh during this heat wave. The cottage was nice and cool due to the convectors. Only the play area for the children is not much... We thought the two play trays under the table were going to be filled with something from toys, but this was not the case. We didn't bring any toys. The playground at the cottage is very nice, just a pity that it is not to use in the summer during the day due to the heat. There should be some more trees in there.
Shop was pleasant and there were plenty of things for sale. There is also an Aldi 1.5 km away. The restaurant is very pleasant. Nice that you can also pick up pizza. Too bad pizza can't be ordered without cheese.
The pool was nice for the kids. Nice big slide. It is also very quiet, allowing small children to explore and play.

Bedankt voor jullie mooie en uitgebreide review! Fijn om te lezen dat jullie hebben genoten van de luxe villa, het zwembad, het restaurant en de rustige sfeer op het park.
Jammer dat de speelhoek niet helemaal aan de verwachtingen voldeed. De speelbakken zijn onderdeel van de speeltafel, maar speelgoed is inderdaad niet inbegrepen. Bedankt ook voor jullie overige feedback; die nemen we mee.

Top park! Kids special cottage could be better.
The cottages are super neat. We had kids special booked, with fenced garden for child and dog, was really ideal! Equal to the playground was also top! Be sure to bring your own pool. Lovely with hot days. A little strange we found the sockets that were just 'open', no protection for children. The convector air conditioners also kept the house at 24 degrees. This was okay, but we think regular air conditioners work better. There were large pools of water on the floor due to the warm weather. Doesn't seem desirable to me. Pool is dated but fine for a swim. Supermarket has all the basics, what you need. Restaurant is fine, not expecting too much. The park is very spacious which was lovely. Mrt beach is +- 15 min walk from the park. It's a nice place to chill by the water. We have rented a sloop at sloephuren-limburg, this saved in price. Definitely positive experience with some small minuses to the house.

In de toekomst zal er wel een vervoersmiddel komen, zodat gasten naar het strand gebracht kunnen worden, maar er zijn ook parkeerplekken langs het strand waar de auto of fiets neergezet kan worden. Good for a weekend. Wouldn't recommend staying any longer.
We’d booked to stay for 10 nights to relax and explore south-eastern Netherlands along with some day trips into Germany and Belgium.
Initial impressions of the park are brilliant, it’s clean and well presented. We arrived quite late in the day and the link provided to open the front gates and cottage doors worked seamlessly.
In the light of a new day, the communal areas still seamed neat and tidy but the private garden of our cottage needed some attention. The sunbathing patio was completely overgrown with weeds and it doesn’t seam fair to be expected to weed the garden while on holiday. Our vacant neighbour however, their garden was spotless. The gardening team did visit during our trip, they let themselves in and cracked on. They are in a major rush and did a crappy job of weeding the dining patio then left.
We went to reception to get access cards to the property so we didn’t have to use our phones to find the link each time we needed to get in, there didn’t seam to be much of a language barrier but the reception staff was adamant we had no booking and after going in circles and almost giving up on it entirely, they finally found us and gave us the key cards.
The pool facilities for such a new establishment feel really dated in terms of its layout and design but it is kept clean by the attendants and the family style changing area is great when going with a baby. The pool makes it clear that the attendants are not life guards and this can become a bit of an issue when the slide is being misused and the odd family decides to walk in with their shoes on trailing dirt throughout, there is no one to address these people.
We tried the onsite restaurant Humphrey’s, it’s ok. They were having a busy night after a hot day, we were seated quickly but it took a long time to order and receive the bill, the food arrived quickly once ordered. Wouldn't go back.
We tried a couple of the parks rental facilities in that we had a BBQ for a couple of days and a day out on a sloop. The BBQ rental was smooth and easily booked online, however it wasn’t very big but worked fine. The sloop was also very easy and bookable online, the staff operating the sloop rental, Amo and her colleagues are all amazing and made the experience really good.
The nail in the coffin for MRT has got to be the beds. They’re so soft they’re uncomfortable and provide no support at all. They’re foam mattresses with a foam toppers. It took a few restless nights to be so exhausted that I could finally get a full nights sleep.
The wall mounted fans/heaters are also awful, only blowing air intermittently and dripping water onto the floor.
All in all, I wouldn’t return to MRT. It would be a good place to stay for a long weekend but anything longer than that it becomes quite uncomfortable.
