Great hotel downtown Utrecht

I recently spent a night here during a visit to Utrecht and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. From the moment I got there, the hotel had a warm, friendly atmosphere that made me feel at home.
My room (#105) wasn't particularly large, but it was maintained and was equipped with everything I needed. The bed was comfortable with great pillows, and although the bathroom was compact, it had a good-sized shower. You need to reserve a parking space if you plan to arrive by car, as spaces are limited.
The wine bar and restaurant, called Hemel en Aarde, are perfect to start your evening. I was visiting with a group of friends, and before diving into Utrecht's nightlife, our evening started in the wine bar where we paired wines with 3 courses. We started with oysters, then had an excellent steak tartare, followed by a beautifully cooked piece of meat. The dishes were creative, full of flavor, and presented with great attention to detail.
The next morning, I enjoyed a fresh and tasty breakfast. While not extensive, everything was fresh and of good quality, which was the perfect start to the day.
What stood out most to me was the combination of hospitality, comfort, great food and wine, and the hotel's perfect location in the heart of Utrecht.

A wonderful stay in the heart of Utrecht

A lovely place for an overnight stay in Utr What a lovely place to stay! This hotel is beautifully centrally located in Utrecht, so you are in the middle of the city and still enjoy a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Upon arrival I was kindly received and immediately felt welcome.
Despite having booked the smallest room, it was surprisingly spacious, comfortable and fully equipped. Highly recommended is the hotel's atmospheric wine bar. It is a lovely place to spend a few hours, enjoying the beautiful wines and the relaxed ambiance. The hospitality, the fine atmosphere and the excellent wine selection make this a place where you like to stay a little longer.
Although the hotel is in the middle of the city, I was able to sleep peacefully. I have not experienced any noise from outside and also no inconvenience from other guests. That makes for a pleasant and relaxing stay.
The breakfast was delicious and very extensive. There was plenty of choice and everything was taken care of with care. The offer may even have been a bit much, but that is of course a luxury problem and shows above all that a lot of attention is paid to the guests.
I had a very nice stay. The combination of the central location, the friendly welcome, the comfortable room, the cozy wine bar and the quiet atmosphere makes this hotel highly recommended. I love coming back here again!

Lovely boutique hotel

Really lovely boutique hotel, great (if slightly expensive breakfast) however really well catered to my gluten free needs.
My room (3rd floor looking out the back of the hotel) was lovely and quiet and cleaned on a daily basis.
Calm and streamlined service, would certainly stay again.

Nice hotel with huge downsides

It sure is a nice hotel, the location is really good and most of the stuff is friendly.
But it has huge downsides:
- The air condition turns on randomly during the night and there is no way to switch it off. We couldn’t sleep most of the night hours.
- Some of the employees are pretty rude and unfriendly.
- Our room wasn’t cleaned during our stay.
- The breakfast is good, but it takes them a long time to prepare everything. (They bring it to the table, it is not a buffet.) We waited one hour to get everything.
Most of this is mentioned in other reviews. Some of them are years old.
But obviously the management and/or the owners do not care at all and do nothing to fix this.
