Our B&B is one of the oldest in the area. The first owners started it in the 80s. Its in an old farmhouse, build in 1831 De Energiek is a refurbished farmhouse (1831), located in Wehe-den Hoorn and offers non-smoking rooms with free WiFi. Each room will provide you with a TV, a minibar and a seating area. The private bathroom features a toilet, a shower, a hairdryer and free toiletries. At De Energiek you will find a private sauna, a 24-hour front desk and a garden. An array of activities can be enjoyed on site or in the surroundings, including cycling, canoe, fishing and hiking. The property offers free parking. Groningen is 22 km away, Waddensea-Worldheritage 7 km. Please inform De Energiek in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. Great place near Wadden, Groningen and seal rescue

We spent a night in de Energiek with family. Our rooms were very nice and clean with private bathrooms. Our hosts were wonderfully hospitable and attentive. Breakfast was extremely good with fresh bread and juice. The seal rescue centre in Pieterburen is 5km away, also the Wadden and the city of Groningen are close by. I would definitely recommend this B&B (for couples and families) and would like to come back. They also have a group accommodation.

Lovely B&B

By phone we booked a room for a single night and the booking was accepted. The B&B is in a quiet village in the northern part of the province of Groningen. A beautiful location. The hosts are extremely friendly and the breakfast was excellent. We wanted to go on a bicycle ride with rented bicycles from the B&B, unfortunately the weather was not working along with our desires. So concluding we will have to come back, and we will definitely be using the Energiek the next time.

Welcoming owners; lovely, quiet room; snug village

We spent 2 nights at De Energiek. The owners were warm and helpful - their advice for food and sights were spot-on. The room and house were a charming mix of old and new (Dutch) design and super clean. The village has nice walking paths in the woods and around the polders. And the north Groningen area has a nice mix of small villages, interesting museums, open spaces and water, and the Wadden Sea. I am looking forward to going back.

A comfortable place to call home in north of Holland

We enjoyed three good nights at this Bed and Breakfast. Rooms are comfortable and a lovely garden with some good places to eat in the evening close by! You get a warm welcome and a terrific dutch breakfast to start a day's activity. We would sneak some breakfast cake into a napkin for later each day! We were cycling in the area - a great place to explore and so peaceful. The owners are a font of knowledge and ideas on where to go and where to eat too! A lovely experience in some lovely country!

Value for money

I came to the North of the Netherlands for a few days and found the Energiek as a good place for exploring the area 'above' Groningen. (so there is sth above Groningen). This is a small B&B which has both a B&B and lodging possibilities for big groups (but both are seperate, so no interference). The B&B is very nice, located in the quiet village of Wehe de Hoorn. The rooms are very clean. There is a common area with tourist information on the area. Owners are very helpful and friendly and breakfast perfectly fine with among my favourite "notenkoek". Next to that it's a perfect spot to explore the Wadden and the islands. They also guided me to the Canoe rental which is on a 1 min walk. from the B&B. I would certainly stay there again when I will go back.
