Highly recommended for a wonderful short stay in your own country!

2 nights stay on a houseboat with a family of 4. Beautiful location, houseboat clean and with lovely beds. Sofa in living area slightly less comfortable. Terrain is large with space for campers and other cottages, with beautiful views over meadows and the water. Highly recommended! Why not 5 points? The shower gel was as good as on arrival, the reception unmanned the entire stay, and the not 100% equipment (95% present, but lack of corkscrew and tea towel). Reception accessible by phone and very helpful and friendly. The adjacent restaurant also offers help and the food there is highly recommended. Very friendly staff and fantastic dining. Ample parking and a serene rest in nature. The frogs and birds make sure you get up early, so you can enjoy a wonderful day in Friesland. Highly recommended this place

We had a room in the farmhouse. Room was okay, fairly basic. No air conditioning, window was open with a screen in front of it, but there were a lot of holes in it, so there were a lot of mosquitoes in the room. They are two single beds pushed together. Shower was good. We were surprised that despite the high season the bar and restaurant were already closed at 17:00. We had a later arrival so no more opportunity to eat or have a drink. There are also few food and beverage outlets in the area. So that's something you actually have to take into account in advance.

Top hotel and top chef in the kitchen with local products

For us this was an excellent address near Leeuwarden. Nice location, many possibilities in terms of stay. We stayed in the room with a view of the orchard, but also the cabins are very nicely located. Jorn and Irene are also the perfect hostess. What was the best experience for us was the quality of the food in the restaurant: the chef's menu was a super tasty menu; we were offered a completely different menu the second time at our request and this was also delicious. The Chef of the restaurant clearly knows what he is doing, and moreover, there is great attention to working with local products, which is very important for us when we go to the restaurant. The hotel is also concerned with the environment; however, there is still a little improvement: no plastic cups in the bathroom for example; at breakfast no disposable jars of jam, etc... but that is just a detail. We highly recommend this hotel!
