Very friendly welcome

We ended up in this hotel for 2 nights because our camper was towed to a garage nearby due to breakdown. What a friendly welcome! We were really thought along and we were allowed to stay in our room for as long as possible until the camper was repaired. Our bikes were even allowed in the garage.
The hotel may be a little dated, but that is the charm.

Very good

We stayed three days in the black forest and this hotel has a good location, the rooms are large and bright and clean, the breakfast good and the staff nice, nice and warm the pool and sauna.

We slept well, quiet and clean place

Good hotel but there are some improvements to be made. We did not take advantage of the SPA / Swimming pool area, nice breakfast beautiful view of the city. Friendly staff. Dogs accepted for a fee... Improvements to be made in the bedroom: more electrical outlets for computer / smartphone / smartwatch... USB / USB-C sockets...
Parking available in the back.

Disappointing treatment of regulars – no further visit planned
My siblings coming from Switzerland and Mallorca and I (Munich) meet once or twice a year in our old home (Achern), including in this hotel. On our last stay we unfortunately had to cancel the booking for two nights at short notice for health reasons. Since the cancellation period had already expired, we tried to find a cult solution by phone.
Unfortunately, we were denied any accommodation on the grounds that the room could no longer be rented on such short notice. According to my siblings, who nevertheless stayed at the hotel, the house was hardly occupied – which probably also showed clearly in the reduced breakfast offer. The quality and selection of the buffet have declined significantly compared to the past. At least that's what I was told.
For a hotel that relies on guests, this behavior is disappointing. It's a pity we weren't met here even in the event of a medically justified failure. We will no longer book this hotel in the future.
