Excellent stay at the IBIS Hotel Augsburg Königsplatz – Highly recommended!
I have already stayed several times at the IBIS Hotel Augsburg Königsplatz and can highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are not only extremely clean but also very comfortable. I would particularly like to highlight the air conditioning and the flat-screen TV, which make your stay even more enjoyable. The cleanliness of the sanitary facilities was also impeccable – there is absolutely nothing to complain about here. In addition, the shower gel was always present, which I found very practical.
The bed was both clean and comfortable, which contributed to a restful night's sleep. Security at the hotel is paramount as rooms can only be entered with a key card, which gives an extra sense of security.
Another highlight is the breakfast: It was very rich and the selection left nothing to be desired. The breakfast room is not only very nice, but also extremely clean and cozy. Staying there was a real pleasure.
The bar in the hotel also offers a good opportunity to end the day relaxed. As for the service, the entire staff was very friendly, helpful and always professional. I find the 24-hour reception particularly practical, which is always available.
The hotel also offers underground parking secured by a rolling door and a barrier. Particularly positive is that there are several (at least 4-6) charging points for electric cars – perfect for travellers who own an electric vehicle. The exit from the underground car park is only possible with the room key card, which also provides additional security.
For guests who need accessibility, the hotel is optimally equipped – there is an elevator and the hotel is fully equipped for the disabled.
The location of the hotel could not be better: Numerous sights, museums, churches and restaurants are within walking distance. There is a tram stop right in front of the hotel, and public transport such as buses is also nearby. Those arriving by car will enjoy very good long-distance connections and supermarkets such as Lidl and EDEKA are also within walking distance.
Another plus is that credit card payment is possible without any problems – unfortunately, American Express is not accepted.
In summary, I can say that I have always felt very comfortable at this hotel and will gladly come back. It is ideally located for both business travellers and tourists and offers excellent service. I can only recommend the IBIS Hotel Augsburg Königsplatz!I

STAFF MAKE A DIFFERENCE
The hotel is a simple hotel, the room is basic and noticeable over the years. However, everything works well and is clean. The bad thing is the carpet that, although clean... is years old. What if exceptional is the staff. We stayed four days and the last one we left at 5:30 in the morning and I didn't have breakfast prepared. Despite the misunderstanding of the previous day (there are some who do not speak good English) they corrected it and were able to attend us in conditions.

Just what I needed for an over-night in Augsburg: location that was walkable from the station and city centre; pleasant reception team; option to store my luggage when arriving early doors; and the most comfortable bed of this Bavarian trip.
