A small slice of Sardinian hospitality in Bad Bentheim

Last weekend we stayed at Hotel Tonino, run by a originally Sardinian owner. After the reception in the restaurant we were directed, via a shortcut through the garden, to a house just down the street, where our room was located. Both the room and the bathroom were clean. Also the beds were fine, we slept wonderfully for two nights. We have not been bothered by noise from the street at all. Breakfast was served in a separate room and was tasty and ample (even homemade jam!). Everything was served by the mother of the house; A very sweet and cordial lady who only spoke Italian. Google Translate was a godsend! We can highly recommend both the hotel and the restaurant (we had not booked, but were immediately given a table when we indicated to stay in the hotel). We came as hotel guests, but left as friends and very happy to come back.

Uninspired hotel.

The focus seems to be on the restaurant.
The rooms are furnished without care. Different types of light bulbs are installed in the ceiling and wall lights, including old energy-saving lamps, halogen bulbs, among others.
As a result, there are no lampshades or glasses in one of the rooms.
In the room of our friends, the ceiling light did not work at all, and the door was missing from the cabinet.
At our place, the door handle was missing; it was loose in the cabinet.
In our room, there was a transparent glass door leading to the toilet!
In the bathroom, there were no shelves available.
In the bathroom of our friends, the shower was built into the sloped ceiling, separated from the rest of the room by a narrow glass panel.
While showering, inevitably the entire room was flooded.
We were greeted with the remark:
"We assume that you will be dining with us this evening!?"
We opted out of that.

Italiaanse verrassing

Uitstekende aardige hulpvaardige bediening.
Het was geen probleem om in het menu voor een hele tafel rekening te houden met een vegetariër.
Heerlijk gegeten voor een zeer schappelijke prijs. De moeite waard om naar toe te gaan

Niet weer

Wij hebben hier een hapje gegeten. Nadat we bij binnenkomst onvriendelijk te woord werden gestaan en ze het ons kwalijk namen iets wat vroeg te zijn. Werd er plaats gemaakt. Met gemaakte humor werd er in No time alles gedaan, of we het leuk vinden om wat hapjes vooraf te hebben, 6 borden op tafel wat gewone kaart voorgerechten waren en wat dus ook 6 volle prijzen op de rekening waren. Erg jammer hoe dit werd gepresenteerd. Trap hier niet in! Hoofdgerecht was lekker. Weinig oog voor service en kinderen. Wij komen niet snel weer.

Mooie kamer

Wij zijn hier 1 nachtje met vrienden geweest. Kamers waren ruimen met een zitje en schoon. Netten badkamer. Gratis parkeren in de buurt . Op loop afstand van het centrum. Lekker gegeten bij het restaurant .
