Breakfast was fresh every morning with fresh bread sausage bacon eggs. Continental breakfast a great variety of meats cheeses fruit. Staff excellent excellent everything meals. The rooms were spotlessly clean ample parking. It’s just a great hotel well recommended.

Disappointing New Year
We were at the hotel for New Year and it was a disappointing experience. The food both on the 30th and 31st were incredibly boring and poorly prepared. We chose the place because there was not set up for the midnight performance, but the slowest serving we have experienced. There was a start at 18.30, but only at 19.15 came a small appetizer - bread we had to ask for. A disappointing experience.

Excellent stay, enjoyed dinner the evening before and a nice walk in the square.

This is something positively charming and divine about this hotel. The staff is very friendly, the room was beautiful and the bed very comfortable. I eish I had had time to stay longer snd enjoy the surroundings of Bad Essen.

Surprisingly good country hotel
On my bike ride along the Mittelland Canal I spent one night in this hotel. I had not expected anything special, but was then very positively surprised by the house located directly at the idyllic half-timbered marketplace of Bad Essen. At the attractive Höger’s Hotel I could certainly imagine a slightly longer stay.
I had reserved a single room Deluxe in the main house. This turned out to be unusually large (for a single room), pleasantly bright and decidedly modern, chic and tastefully decorated. I particularly liked the real wood elements, combined with simple grey furniture and the floorboard. The facility included everything necessary: Very comfortable bed, adequately sized wardrobe, small desk with comfortable armchair. State-of-the-art daylight bathroom with floor-to-ceiling shower. Everything picobello clean.
Breakfast is served in the modern restaurant on the ground floor. Diverse, high-quality and very appetizingly presented buffet. On the positive side, I particularly noticed the large selection of hot dishes: In addition to scrambled eggs with bacon, for example, there were also fried eggs and delicious Nuremberg grate sausages.
The staff was polite and correct. Had the young lady shown a little more cordiality at the reception and the young man at breakfast, I would certainly have given Höger’s a full five points. But perhaps in this part of the country, people are typically a bit distant and reserved.
