Great hotel, 70s atmosphere

I slept here for 1 night (while walking the Hermannshöhenweg) and that was fine. From the outside it looks like a modern hotel but inside you feel like you are in the 70s and that has something to it. The atmosphere is friendly and I have the impression that many truckers and drivers come here daily for a bite to eat or sometimes stay overnight. The hotel room is basic but the bathroom (in my case) impressively large and brand new. However, the hotel is right on the motorway so I kept the windows closed to keep noise and exhaust out.
Dinner goes the old-fashioned way here, you get a fine plate of food and so does breakfast, where an excellent buffet is served.

We had a very comfortable overnight stay as part of a long journey. The rooms were spotlessly clean and spacious, and the staff friendly.
Dinner in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced, and the breakfast buffet next morning was excellent. I'd happily stay there again.

Great Value/Great Hospitality

Highly recommended! Family owned & operated, this charming hotel feels like home with welcoming hosts who speak very good english. Stayed for 5 nights in this top location with views of the forest and wildlife from the rooms & private balcony & a short stroll to the delightful town of Bad Iburg. Large rooms, clean throughout & beds very comfortable. Good breakfast variety and excellent free wifi service included. Will definitely stay again next time we are in Germany. Cannot fault for the money, great value.

Stopover en route to Hook of Holland ferry from Berlin.
Reasonably convenient, but few apparent amenities in the town.
Hotel was fine and english spoken at reception. Secure parking for bike which is always a bonus.
