Very happy to return

The house itself very interesting and winding. The rooms but modern furnishings and very clean. Hardly any traffic, so very quiet. I didn't hear any other guests either. Staff very friendly and competent. Also the restaurant is highly recommended. Breakfast really very good, with lots of choice

Restaurant in the Westerwalder Hof... from Paulus to Saulus

Developed within a year from a good steak restaurant to an imposition. The surface of the steak served was literally dried out, however long the piece lay around. No steak knife, so the meat was difficult to cut. The brown ready-made sauce separated on the plate and the absolutely crusty fried fries could not be eaten with it. Oh, yes, there were still some peppercorns floating in the sauce, so you could give it a name. In the end, only the dog liked to eat the meat...

Restaurant in the Westerwalder Hof... always good!

If you want to eat a really good rump steak, the restaurant of the Westerwalder Hof is the right place. I rarely ate a piece of meat that was so tender and well fried from start to finish. The accompanying salad was also good. In addition, an attentive service of the drinks brings and clears empty plates.
That's how eating is fun!

Central, not shabby - but otherwise...

Marienberg is generally overrated as a bathing town, but this hotel with attached smoking "pinte" is really a journey back in time to the Westerwald farm taverns of the late 70s. With heaviest provincial furnishings and hearty simplest inn map. If you like it...

Really okay, but no working wifi

A nice hotel in a very nice small German town (a few places to eat very near by). Room was rather large and very comfortable. Great for one night and a nice breakfast the next morning.
Two complaints one (like a lot of these small German places) they handle the WiFi themselves and the router on my floor just wasn't working. No one around who could help at 10PM.
Second complaint - their credit card machine just couldn't process my U.S. non-chip & pin credit card. Ended up having to pay cash, luckily I had some.
