We were guests at the Askania Hotel at Tegernsee last night and it was incredibly beautiful!

I have stayed in many hotels both professionally and privately, but the Askania achieves a perfect balance: Here, beautiful, new design combines with the true tradition of a 99-year-old house. This place beautifully merges modern design with the authentic tradition of a 99-year-old establishment.
We came from Munich to hike by the lake for one night and will definitely return. The breakfast was also great, super delicious, and prepared with a lot of love. If I missed even a tiny detail, it might have been fresh pretzels. Overall, absolutely recommendable!

Hotel in 5. Generation

Simple but good 3* hotel in close proximity to Lake Tegernsee, boat dock and town centre. Friendly hoteliers! Rooms simple and in some areas (e.g. bathroom) old, but everything in (also hair dryer ). Museum-like accessories such as old radios etc. in the common areas. Breakfast excellent with fresh bakery rolls. Free parking and Wi-Fi available. You can come back if you stay in Bad Wiessee.

Family and friendly hotel

In only 3 minutes you reach the Tegernsee. There is plenty of parking right behind the house.
The service is extensive and very pleasantly personal. Individual wishes are gladly fulfilled.
Breakfast is very good, especially the good rolls and coffee.
The entrance area very quaint and cozy.
The elevator is of course the highlight.

Ageing hotel but with a lot of flair and ingenious breakfast

That's how I imagine it...
The hotel is a bit old, but still has an improbable amount of flair. And there's investment... Very good.
I felt very comfortable here and will surely come back a few times in 2025.
One of the highlights was undoubtedly breakfast, so the day can start.
I was also fascinated by the passion for Slyr’s whiskey from the senior, which I can easily understand.
