A practical hotel with excellent parking in central Bamberg
The ibis Styles Bamberg is a very good option for staying in a central location in the city. The room is small but clean and functional. For one or two nights, it is absolutely fine, although there would not be enough storage space to properly settle in for a longer stay (in my opinion).
The breakfast is very good, with a decent variety of choices, and the small buffet is a nice touch. Check-in was quick and easy, and the lady who welcomed us was extremely friendly. Check-out was equally uncomplicated—just drop the keys into the mailbox in the car park when leaving with the car.
The underground parking is a real advantage: secure, convenient and perfectly suited to a larger vehicle, which is not always the case with city-centre hotels.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel. It offers a very good value for money, especially for a short stay in Bamberg.

Very nice hotel.
The room was small, but very nicely furnished. The bed is comfortable.
The air conditioning works very well. It can be loud sometimes, but it usually quiets down after a while.
Breakfast was nice with lots of vegetarian options. I liked that everything was labelled and allergens were listed for each dish.
Beware that the hotel parking garage is usually full if you arrive in the evening or late afternoon. You can park at the Parkhaus Zentrum Süd/Schützenstraße, which is about a 5 minute walk to the hotel and costs a maximum of 18€ per day.

Absolute recommendation for an overnight stay in Bamberg
A very nice, new and modern hotel in the middle of the old town. 3 min walk to the water, the pedestrian passages and the sights. The rooms (we had one under the roof) are very nice, modern and large. The bathroom has a large shower, good water pressure and is also new and modern. The reception in 1. OG is somewhat unusual, but probably due to the architecture of the house, on the ground floor is only the entrance. Our rooms, although we checked in at 12 o'clock, were already ready to move in and we could help ourselves to water, juice and coffee in the breakfast room. Breakfast the next morning was also above average, very varied, fresh, delicious. The hotel is an absolute recommendation for a visit to Bamberg.

Highly recommended for a few days.
So, I will start with the (few) rather negative points:
1. The bathroom has poor ventilation.
2. In rooms facing the otherwise very beautiful and quiet courtyard, there are occasionally morning disturbances from deliveries to the neighboring REWE or from garbage collection.
3. Bread and rolls for breakfast are sometimes rock hard or rubbery, and in our view, they are quite mediocre in taste.
4. There is no wardrobe, only hooks on the wall and a kind of shelf for a (small) suitcase. You may find this good or bad; for our short vacation, it was not that important to us. During a 14-day stay, it could become annoying.
Now for the positives:
1. The breakfast room is very nice.
2. With the exception of bread and rolls, the breakfast buffet is diverse and good. 3. Coffee, as well as tea and water, can be obtained for free at any time. There is also coffee from the thermal carafe, not just from the machine.
4. There are (non-reservable) parking spaces in the hotel's underground garage (the daily price is quite high at about 21.00 euros).
5. The location of the hotel is excellent for excursions of all kinds.
6. All staff members were friendly and accommodating.
7. The mattresses are good.
8. The rooms are otherwise clean, tidy, and functional.
The price-performance ratio is appropriate. We would come back again.

More than satisfactory
Central location with parking available underneath the hotel. Reception on the first floor of the building and very professional welcome. Room sufficiently spacious and clean, although the presence of carpet always raises some doubts. The bathroom was very spacious and clean. Great breakfast with a wide selection between savory and sweet, and the staff was very quick and kind in resetting the tables, considering the high influx of guests. Fair price. We had a very good experience.
