Better and better
Not only is the hotel spotlessly clean with lovely spacious rooms, the staff are top class.
Breakfast and meals in the downstairs restaurant are superb.
The roof top pool and spa are the icing on the cake.
The only slight, and I mean slight, downside is maybe the Pano restaurant, it’s ok but quite expensive and I think the chef believes he’s better than he is, but this pales into insignificance because of the view from your table and the top class staff on hand.
Will certainly be visiting again.

We spent some wonderful days at the EDELWEISS Hotel in Berchtesgaden and were overall thrilled.

I would particularly like to highlight the dreamy wellness area. The saunas are excellent, and the entire spa team takes care of the guests' well-being with great kindness and attention. A special mention goes to the sauna master. His infusions are a true experience – professionally conducted with great passion and always accompanied by a warm demeanor. He knows how to create a wonderful atmosphere and make the sauna visit a true highlight.
Another highlight is the PANO Rooftop Restaurant. The combination of stylish ambiance, delicious food and drinks, and the unique panoramic view over Berchtesgaden is simply dreamy. Right next to it, the hot tub on the rooftop terrace invites relaxation – the view of the Berchtesgaden Alps is simply gigantic and makes the stay unforgettable.
The restaurant in the hotel also fully convinced us. The cuisine is excellent, the quality of the dishes is first-class, and the service is attentive, warm, and professional. Here, one feels completely comfortable as a guest.
The breakfast also leaves nothing to be desired – a large selection, fresh products, and a perfect start to the day.
There is only a small deduction for the bar. The service was friendly, but at times seemed a bit inattentive, and the cocktails could not quite match the high standard of the establishment in terms of taste.
Nevertheless, the EDELWEISS Berchtesgaden is a hotel that we would gladly visit again at any time. The combination of a dreamlike location, excellent cuisine, the extraordinary wellness area, the PANO Rooftop Restaurant, and warm hospitality makes the stay something truly special.
