Excellent apartments. A spacious apartment with two separate bedrooms and a living room combined with a kitchen and dining area. There is also a small balcony with a nice view.
Fully matches the description. Very convenient location — about a 10-minute walk to Alexanderplatz. Small shops, cafes, and bakeries are nearby.
The apartment is quiet with good sound insulation, even though some windows face a busy street. Suitable for families with children. Recommended.

Noisy location, sirens going off every 5 mins and lots of traffic noise. Beds very low and uncomfortable. Room was damaged and not cleaned well. No bin bags or advice on how to leave trash. Bath had to be filled via a showerhead and took forever. No TV in the living room so we couldn't chill in the evening together as a family. Fridge broken.
Tripped over the rug in the living room day one and trapped a nerve in my back from the fall, spending my entire trip in a wheelchair and not able to see/do much.
Check in difficult - couldn't get in but luckily someone exiting held the door and then the digital room key wouldn't work. Had to call for help which was provided by a friendly staff member but took so long my child had to wee outside while we tried to sort (he's young and couldn't hold it). We weren't the first this happened too as we could see someone else had followed the same instructions before us. Also couldn't enter the property using the room key after a trip to the supermarket, got buzzed in but only the staircase, meaning I had to climb 7 flights of stairs carrying everything after a full day of travelling - not ideal.
On a positive note, it's very close to a U bahn station, supermarket and an amazing doner takeaway.
Overall terrible experience, and I'm so upset as we splurged on this place to celebrate and my injury meant we couldn't even enjoy the trip and it wasn't a comfortable place to rest and try to recover.

Nobody’s home at Amano after damages from Amano data-breach
The low score is for the manner in which Amano dealt with their data breach at the end of November 2025, which preceded my stay in December.
Amano waited to disclose the data breach to the public until 11th December 2025. By then, my stolen personal data had already been used for a phishing attack, which resulted in financial damages.
In trying to sort out a solution with Amano on damages caused on their behalf, their final stance was: “you shouldn’t have clicked on the fraudulent link”.
Really, Amano?! Is that how you treat customers when you mess things up so badly?! How about showing some responsibility by:
- Safeguarding customer personal data so it doesn’t get leaked in the first place
- Informing customers the same day you discover a breach instead of waiting a week (!!)
- Answering customer questions for a change when they approach you about possibly malicious intent
- Showing some interest in customer-care by offering compensation like a free room-upgrade or hotel-stay for the price of suffered damages
None of this happened and Amano should be ashamed that it leaves customers out in the cold like this.

Comfortable, clean, minimalist place in a safe and central location
The one thing that stood out the most was the customer service. The check in person went out of their way to help me with my bags up to the 5th floor, as the lift was broken for 1 day. The maintenance man fixed my TV and brought me an extension cord. The cleaning team was friendly. The online customer service reacted promptly to questions and requests. In particular, I had to depart 3 days early due to a medical emergency, and they refunded me these 3 days, which they didn't have to.
The room had shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, dish-washing soap, dish towels and cloths. There was a hair dryer, an iron and a toaster. The bed was comfortable, but as one can see on the photos, you have to crawl in from the foot end, as there is no bed access from the side. Not a big deal. Heating was good, it was quiet when the windows were closed, and the shower was very good. There is parking for 20 Euros per day. Overall, it was a modern, minimalist, clean studio in a safe and central location. It was a comfortable stay.
On the slightly negative side, I was missing a few things that Airbnb's usually have. There was no kitchen trash bin nor a recycling bin, so rotting food and packaging had to be stored in an open paper bin with no plastic bag inside, no mirror in the entire place (not even in the bathroom), no oven, no freezer (only a tiny mini fridge), no table to eat or work on, no chairs (just a small sofa like seating arrangement and a tiny coffee table), and there were only exactly 2 plates, 2 cups, 2 forks, 2 knives, 2 spoons and so on, which was kind of funny.
There was no power socket anywhere near the coffee table for my laptop, and so I asked the team to bring me an extension cord, which they did. So a few things were kind of quirky this way, but the friendly service made up for it.

Based on the room and the location, this is a five star property. It is very well appointed with a new microwave, stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher. It is also bright, very well designed and spacious. The location is super.
Self check-in, however, is a mess. They do a terrible job communicating in advance what to do and any issues getting in, which almost every customer experiences.
Once you’re in it’s great, but management has greatly failed to remedy this ongoing issue. It is costing them money and goodwill they could easily capture if they put a real effort to make it easier.
I’ll be back and only in advance what to expect.
