A Delightful Stay.
We have just finished 5 nights at Mittendrin Boutique Hotel. We loved it.! Located in the " Inner Circle" of Berlin, it is close to rail, buses and the hop on hop off bus.
Not so much a hotel as a B&B.
2 apartments have been joined together to create a four bedroom establishment. Two with private baths and two have a shared bath room. The private bathrooms were modern, very clean and well equipped. Seperate and located across the hallway from their bedrooms. This gave total privacy when using the bathroom. Bathrobes and slipppers were provided.
Our room was very large with a comfortable bed, desk, hanging space, sofa, original fireplace,
additional seating and two luggage racks. The room had two large double glazed windows combined with heavy curtains that kept the street noise out when necessary.
Breakfasts are legendary and Sabine goes to a lot of trouble to present a beautiful spread each morning. No-one could ever possibly complain about the breakfasts...
Some mornings we were offered champagne and one couple celebrating their forty year anniversary had flower petals sprinkled outside of their bedroom door, bows on their breakfast chairs and chocolate love hearts on their plates to make it all very special for them. We toasted them with champagne.
Chocolates and sweets were often left in our room and free icecreams were placed in the community fridge. There were many other lovely touches too numerous to mention..We would have no hesitation in recommending Sabine and Mittendrin to those who appreciate the niceties of life. A lovely experience all round.

One of the best B&Bs ever
Mittendrin was one of the best B&Bs I've ever stayed in. The room was spacious, sunny, and clean, with antiques. The breakfasts were amazing, with everything we could ask for, including fresh fruit and rolls daily, plus German specialties like Weisswurst sausage, quark (dairy item), local cheeses, and eggs made to order. But the best of all was our host, Sabine, her joy, and her eagerness to help in every way.

Charming boutique hotel with personal flair and exceptional breakfast
A charming little boutique hotel with only four rooms – perfect for anyone who appreciates a personal and peaceful atmosphere. Of particular note is the fantastic breakfast, which is freshly prepared every morning by the owner herself. With a lot of attention to detail and creative dishes that change daily, she ensures an enjoyable start to the day. You really feel welcome and well looked after here. Highly recommended!

Amazing lovely place, superbly clean, charming decor and generous hospitality. Beautiful breakfast and lots of added extras. Highly recommend.

A wonderful hostess gave a wonderful stay in a lovely building.
I booked this B and B because of the wonderful reviews, and they were right. The building itself is beautifully decorated and very clean, but it is the hostess Sabine who really makes the stay.
Our plane was late but she had tracked it and called us when we landed to make sure we were OK to find her place. She was actually standing out on the street when the taxi pulled in, at some very late hour of the night, in minus degrees. She made sure we had everything that we needed, and arranged to do the rest of the tour after breakfast. We felt welcomed!
Breakfast - what a treat! It was like my grandmother would call a grand spread. So much delicious food! There were many types of meat, eggs, fish, cheeses, fruit, breads, fresh orange and coffee/tea. It was not just the food though, Sabine truly hosts a breakfast, with one communal table that soon had many guests, from many countries, talking round the table like one big family. We swapped stories, and generally put the world to rights. So much so, we stayed for extra coffee after to continue the conversation.
It felt like going back to a bygone era, where people would listen to different views and perspectives, and have a real discussion. Young and old. We spoke of our plans for the say, then the day after found how everyone's day had been.
There is an honour system for a snack bar, which was generously filled too.
I guess the only drawback was that, although we had a private bathroom, it was across the corridor. Sabine had thought of that though, and we were presented with a dressing gown and slipper each to make the trip. Everything was immaculate and warm. Or cool, as you could dictate the temperature in your room.
Our room was the romantic room, which is huge and with high ceilings. Not only was there a huge, comfortable bed, it also had sofa, chairs, occasional tables, fresh roses, chocolates, a desk, and a lovely feel. We did wonder how romantic the room would be, as the bed creaked somewhat LOL, but the constriction of the building means the rooms are quiet and we could not really hear any other guests.
The last thing was that Sabine was generous to help us plan our days, with info on buses, trains etc, as well as the best things to see.
Highly recommended.
