This hotel deserves our recommendation
We booked the Hotel Kaiser relatively spontaneously in July 2024. Since we often take city trips, we are used to some hotels. Regarding the Hotel Kaiser you can definitely say that it was one of the best hotels we stayed in once. The price/performance ratio is not right, because it is too cheap! The hotel could charge a significantly higher price for the rooms, because the hotel is located in the middle of Berlin, is clean and well equipped. Our room was also relatively large, not only the bedroom but also the bathroom was large (a shower in which you can shower properly due to the size). On a next visit to Berlin we will definitely stay at the Hotel Kaiser again. Top!

Good Hotel with Good Location !
Good German Hotel well located in Scharlottenburg nearby the metro stations. The famous and well known Scharlottenburg Palace located 10 minutes walking from the Hotel. Very friendly people working there. The breakfast was Good. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

nice cheap hotel
You'll get what you're paying for: friendly staff (multilingual), a nice room with telly and a fridge. WiFi works and is free. Nice breakfast, nothing extraordinary but solid and absolutely sufficient. Within walking distance to some restaurants, a 'Späti' (24h shop for alc, tabak and snacks), the Metro and only two stops (or a short walk) away from the opera house (Deutsche Oper) if that's important for you (it should be!)
But the hotel could use a little renovation here and there. And since there is no A/C and my room was to the street, you have to decide whether you have a hot night or a noisy night...

Nice budget hotel
The hotel is reasonably priced, our room was clean and really spacious which was a great plus! Breakfast was included in the price (two nights stay was 160 euro for two of us), and I found the breakfast pretty good.
The location is very good, a mere two minute walk from the next U-Bahn station (Sophie charlotte platz).
The only bad thing is that thay don't have a proper air conditioner, only an electric fan in a room.
The hotel is in need of modernisation. I don't think we will stay again at this hotel, but I could recommend it for a night or two stay. If you don't mind a retro look and you want a budget hotel, this is the one.

The good and the bad average out, overall an interesting stay
The building is easily accessible coming from Tegel airport and taking the U-bahn. Once you figure out you need to take an elevator 6 floors up, you are good to go. Now, most of the employees (including at the reception) do not speak English, but understand a bit. They are fluent in German and Russian, which gave me a chance to practice my German, even though when you are tired from the road that is less than ideal. The ladies at the reception were very nice and polite and helpful and I don t know about you, but it gave me a nice, warm, fuzzy feeling when close to midnight one of them was singing old Russian songs, to keep herself company.
The room was big and clean, while it is obvious that furniture, carpets and fixtures have not been changed in a decade or two. You have the basics and you pay for the basics at the end of the day. I would have liked to have a do not disturb sign around somewhere though.
Breakfast was nice, nothing out of the ordinary.
Overall, an OK experience. If you are in Berlin for the city and the hotel is just a place to rest your head, as was my case, and you are not too picky, Kaiser Hotel will be more than enough. Learn how to say thank you in Russian, though. It is worth just to see the smile on a nice lady s tired face around midnight.
