My stay at Mercure Fuggerstrasse
A small 3 star superior hotel in the heart of Berlin. Very close to metro station Nollendorfplatz and close to KaDeWe. You can also easy walk to the Zoologischer Garten ( station & Zoo). The hotel needs some renovation but still is in a good shape and its clean. This hotel is located also in very popular gay area of Berlin which is an advantage if you belong to the LGBT Community

Our hotel has been steadily refreshed, including the renovation of our restaurant and the installation of air conditioning in every room alongside modern fire safety systems. At the start of 2023, we introduced new Mercure beds in all rooms and have since added smart TVs to enhance in-room comfort and convenience.

Towels are thin need many to dry, sheets have pilling old, breakfast is bare, charged and paid 35 Euros at check in for ‘early’ check in, then at check out date wanted to charge again since they had no records of me paying but showed receipt, be aware they are crooks trying to double charge. Horrible experience, not once did they ask ‘how was your stay’?

The room interior was a bit dated but it was clean and the front desk staff was helpful. The air conditioning was excellent! A good choice for an affordable stay.

Unfriendly staff
I was accommodated there as a bus driver for a larger group. The group was assigned a fixed time, which is complete nonsense, as the room is too small for a group of 49 people. It would be more appropriate if the group were not set to a specific time. The highlight was the 2nd. Tomorrow, Tuesday. I had arranged upon arrival that I, as the bus driver, need to have breakfast earlier, which should not be a problem. I came out of the elevator at 6:35 AM and wanted to head towards breakfast. Then a staff member from the reception jumped out and immediately yelled at me that the group breakfast is only at 8:00 AM and did not even let me speak properly. I have never experienced such rudeness early in the morning. In conclusion, it must be said that the hotel is absolutely unsuitable for groups.

Wir möchten Ihnen versichern, dass unser Team großen Wert auf einen respektvollen und zuvorkommenden Umgang legt. Ein freundlicher Ton und klare, ruhige Kommunikation sind für uns selbstverständlich und Teil unseres Serviceverständnisses.
Um den Frühstücksablauf für alle reibungslos zu gestalten, sind die Zeitfenster für Gruppen bei uns bewusst auf eine Stunde begrenzt. So stellen wir sicher, dass auch unsere Individualreisenden einen entspannten Start in den Tag erleben können. Die zugewiesenen Zeiten werden täglich aktualisiert und auf Hinweistafeln in der Lobby sowie auf jeder Etage angezeigt, damit sich alle Gäste gut orientieren können.
Wir verstehen, dass die Organisation mit einer großen Gruppe besondere Anforderungen mit sich bringt. Bei sehr großen Teilnehmerzahlen kann es aufgrund der vorhandenen Kapazitäten sinnvoll sein, das Eintreffen zu staffeln oder Alternativen zu prüfen, um den Komfort für alle Beteiligten zu wahren.
Hinsichtlich der Zimmer weisen wir darauf hin, dass die Kategorien in unserem Haus baulich bedingt unterschiedliche Größen aufweisen. Für längere Aufenthalte in Berlin empfehlen wir gerne die großzügigeren Superior- oder Privilege-Zimmer, die zusätzlichen Raum und Komfort bieten.
Es ist uns wichtig, dass Busfahrerinnen und Busfahrer einen verlässlichen Ablauf haben, damit der Tagesplan eingehalten werden kann. Dass Sie hier keine stimmige Erfahrung gemacht haben, bedauern wir sehr.

This location is ideal if you want to be near many of the clubs and restaurants, but come back to a quiet place to sleep. Very comfortable room, easy check-in, and staff were onsite and friendly.
