One needs a lot of humor in this hotel!!!

It was clean, but not quiet. My neighbors in the room were talking from the afternoon until midnight at about 100-120 decibels. The room's door handle was not attached; I had it in my hand several times. The floor was not level but noticeably slanted!! The room decor is very vintage!! It is only suitable for sleeping if one possesses a lot of humor!!!

Basic

Inconvenient location, nothing around except industrial / businesses. Small family run hotel, very nice people doing the best they can but unfortunately it's a sight for sore eyes externally and not that much better inside. Rooms are clean and ok to sleep in but don't expect much more. There is no one there for most of the day (apart from breakfast and dinner times when it is staffed in small downstairs restaurant), apart from that fend for yourself. I arrived there at 11am after a 25 hr flight, then a train,tram and bus from Hannover airport and the place was closed. Apart from freezing to death outside I was lucky to walk about 300M and get into another hotel for first night. Apparently they open at 1600 hrs.
I was forced to stay at the Heidshenke hotel for 4 nights because it was a unrefundable booking, probably one of the top 3 worst hotels I have stayed in over 30 years travel.
If you are after basic accom, clean room and nothing else then go for it. Further, price I paid was highly inflated at €195 per night, probably only worth max€70 per night!! Then again, a trade fair was on in Hannover so got ripped off.
