Pleasant stay
Check-in at 3pm. Went nice and smooth.
Our room was neat and spacious.
Neat and fresh.
Beds were good. Only the pillow we found nothing. Each had two pillows but were these loose things.
In the evening upon returning to the hotel bar another drink done. It was busy, but cozy. You can still have fun after to end the day.
Breakfast in the morning could be until 10:30. Nice time to start the day quietly.
Arriving it was very busy. Waiting in a line until we could take a seat. Much was gone, and by the time it was replenished, we had eaten largely enough. All in all we are positive about a good breakfast.
There was lactose-free milk. 4 species. Soy. Great.
Gluten-free, I don't know. I had deliberately brought my own bread to be sure of a sandwich (this comes from previous experiences in other hotels)
Walking distance to downtown. Ideal location. We were here because of the Christmas market.
This hotel is worth repeating.

We understand your remarks regarding the hotel’s proximity to the train station and the feeling of insecurity in the surrounding area during the evening hours. Unfortunately, this is beyond our direct control, but we do our utmost to ensure that all our guests feel safe and comfortable within the hotel itself.

Refurbishment needed......
However, it really needs a complete renovation.
Some of the bathrooms are already 30 years old, so from when the hotel was still a Marriott.
Apart from that it smells strongly of drain in the rooms, the air conditioning is poor to use, as ancient and in my room you could not open the window, nor even tilt what would have been really necessary with the smell in the room.
At breakfast, I had the impression that the staff was totally overwhelmed or there were simply too few staff. The buffet was not stocked, no more cups were available at the coffee machines. On demand, everyone would be in the dishwasher at the moment...
So if Dorint takes money in hand and thoroughly refurbishes the hotel, it would certainly be a good hotel. As it is now, I would really refrain from staying here again.
