Hilton Dresden
Met up with my son who was in Dresden for a study abroad program piggybacking on the end of his program to explore a side of Germany I’ve never had the opportunity to visit. The Hilton is VERY centrally located in the Altstadt of Dresden within just a few feet of the Frauenkirche. I spent a total of 10 nights at the hotel, using the spa/pool facilities and the multiple restaurants daily. The hotel was comfortable, well appointed and, I feel, well priced. I would recommend to anyone who plans to visit Dresden for a few nights to centralize their stay in the Altstadt and I would wholeheartedly recommend the Hilton Dresden for that purpose. Excellent!

Just Hilton
Very centrally located. Everything is easily accessible on foot. The rooms facing the inner courtyard are pleasantly quiet. It was another nice stay.

Excellent hotel right in the centre of beautiful Dresden. Breakfast was plentiful with the option to order an omelette. Hotel facilities, gym, pool, sauna and spa are great. An ideal option for staying in Dresden with plenty or restaurants and sight seeing options nearby.

Expected a lot, got disapointed
What a disappointment! Hilton name flying very low with this hotel, as if there was no general manager in charge! Ok, the stay did not start well but not due to the staff: keys could not be encoded on cards due to a technical issue… ok. Some staff was there to open the room for us. Then I went to park the car underground: the door would not open. Waiting for 15 minutes for a solution, pushing the call button and asking for help. Finally opened. Walking back, I see keys are being distributed again. Picked up 2 for a our room: did not work. After 7 hours driving I see a coffee machine in the room: nice! No, there is no water in the room but a message asking to go and get water walking again to the dispenser… forget about it. Going to the toilet: the wall above the toilet looks like it could fall on us sometime: we don’t leave the kids alone here and inform the reception. Any action? Don’t know. The hotel design is dated post Berlin Wall fall and you can see scratches and damaged doors/furniture everywhere. How can one manage such a splendid location so poorly? I think it’s the worst surprise vs expectation I had for a Hilton. (Oh and staff wrote to me I should go to reception and claim appropriate compensation) I am still puzzled

A seamless and welcoming check-in is essential, unfortunately on that day we could not make any rooms key for over 8 hours and support could not fix the issue in timely manner. Regarding Car park the Gade was damaged and was repair within 3 days as spare parts needed to be shipped. Our team is working on strengthening procedures in situation like this to ensure a smoother process for all guests.
Your observations about room equipment and overall condition are helpful. We understand the importance of modern amenities and are committed to improving facilities while maintaining the historical character of the hotel. We have already updated a number of rooms and bathrooms, including adding showers, and this renovation program will continue through the first half of 2026.
Preserving the charm of our historic property while enhancing comfort remains a key priority. Alongside room and bathroom updates, we are focusing on breakfast quality, cleanliness, service consistency, and noise control through targeted facility improvements, further staff development, and enhanced soundproofing where possible.
