Very nice hotel with lovely staff
We stayed 4 nights and found the hotel comfortable and convenient. Our room was quite small but big enough. Excellent bed and very quiet overlooking Wettiner Platz. We slept exceptionally well. Reception staff were very helpful. They all spoke very good English and went above and beyond expected levels of service. I will definitely return to this hotel if I go back to Dresden

This is our fourth time staying at this hotel, but I have to say that the cleanliness has declined compared to our previous visits. The stains on the carpet and the strange smell in the room were disappointing, especially considering the price we paid. After we complained, we were moved to another room, which was much better. However, it was still disappointing to have this experience in the first place.

A nice and cozy hotel
A very nice and cozy - with great attention to detail- tastefully decorated hotel!
The check-in / out was quick and uncomplicated. Parking in the underground car park cost 20 € per night and we paid at the end of the stay.
The room was facing the courtyard, yet we heard street noises. Anyone who's sensitive here might want to take earplugs. The room offered us enough storage space for 2 people + 3 days.
In the bathroom were shower gel, hand soap and conditioner, as well as a hair dryer.
There was also a small kettle, soluble coffee, tea bags and cocoa, as well as a bottle of water in the fridge. Whether the water cost extra, however, I can not say, because we have not found a clue to this.
Little things that bothered me a bit were the too dark light in the bathroom in general, no extra light on the make-up mirror and I lacked 1-2 hanging options in the bathroom. No criticism, only possibilities for improvement :-).
The only thing that really bothered us was the box spring bed. It was much too soft and too narrow to our taste. We prefer a "normal" bed.
Unfortunately, the TV reception was a bit disturbed, stopped or the screen went black. We then streamed from the phone, which worked to some extent.
The breakfast buffet was great!! So a day can start . The service there was great! I would like to highlight the young lady with the short hair and glasses, who has "the shop" fully under control (I unfortunately do not know the name). Even in stressful moments she reacted calmly and very well - great and so on. The fresh way, just great!
The sights of Dresden, many restaurants and the city center are within walking distance in about 15 minutes.
We can highly recommend the "Indigo" and should it take us again to Dresden, we will gladly come back here. Thanks to the whole team!

Top Service however, not everything is perfect
We have chosen the hotel based on the reviews for our city break to Dresden. The hotel is centrally located and the city center is about 10-15 minutes on foot to the S-Bahn stop it is 3 minutes. The hotel itself is very clean and chic. Check-in was quick and hassle-free. Our room (213) was also very clean and well maintained and adequately equipped to stay overnight. The first night, however, was unfortunately uncomfortable. The underfloor heating could not be turned off and was so warm that you could not sleep in 27 degrees. The air conditioning, on the other hand, was too noisy to sleep and opening the window was not an option either because the street noise was clearly audible. So at night at 1 o'clock unfortunately complaints were made and they acted promptly and provided a new room (603). The new room was significantly larger incl. bathtub (which we were not interested in and was not used, because you just wanted to sleep - an equally sized room without “sauna” would have been perfectly sufficient) by 2 o’clock everything was done. The temperatures were also much more pleasant here. The TV or rather the two TVs can be controlled with a remote control. If you turn one on, both turn on. It's almost lucky to use just one TV...
For breakfast here it is best to be present well before 9am, otherwise the breakfast area is full and you have to wait. The hotel cannot provide enough tables for the number of guests in the hotel. In general, the breakfast offer is very extensive and very good. The “important” coffee in the morning, on the other hand, is, as so often experienced in hotels, a disaster and inedible, too hot, scalding.
Parking is similar to breakfast. If you arrive early you are lucky to get a place and if you park, you should not leave the parking lot during your stay. Otherwise you have to park outside.
