Quiet, beautiful hotel in a secluded location at the fraternity monument with dream terrace
Was here for an event plus overnight stay - nice, renovated, older hotel in a quiet dream location at the fraternity monument. Highlight: Terrace with unobstructed views of the Wartburg Castle in absolute silence. Excellent cuisine, rich breakfast - but with baked bread. Price level with 140€ for the night reasonable.

Stay here is you like The Shining (movie)
Cons:
Food: I can’t make this up!! The man who checked us in at the desk, was also our waiter, server, and probably cook. It was like I was watching a cartoon show.
BEST PART? I ordered soup and a large dinner salad for my meal.
He brought out a plate of risotto. I told him I didn’t order that, but I’d take it “no worries”. Our reservation was at 6:30pm and it was now 8:00 pm. We were starving! I tasted it and it was good, so I had my daughter, her husband and my husband all taste it because they were still waiting for their dinners.
2 minutes later the waiter comes back, snatches it away, walks out one door, thru another and serves it to another guest!!!! I can NOT make this up (in good conscience). Yuck!!!
Then he brought me a salad that looked at least 1 day old. Ever bring home a salad from a restaurant with the dressing already on it?
The lettuce was legitimately so limp and the cucumbers were see through from being dressed yesterday!! Of course I couldn’t eat it. We actually all said it may have been served to someone else and this was their leftovers!!!
Room:said they had air conditioning. They do not. If THIS is air conditioning (maybe 72-74 degrees) stop saying you’re going to turn it on at the desk. Thats right. They control “when” it actually goes on.
It’s been on for at least 2+ hours and it’s so stuffy it’s horrible. And this is a tiny room.
Pros: pretty location if you like being way outside of any town.
We had come from the city of Mainz where we loved walking around.

Well...
The hotel is a bit secluded but very nicely located. From the nice terrace you have a very nice view of the Wartburg. The fraternity monument is just a stone's throw away. Ice cream parking is available both on the feeder road and further down. For loading & unloading you can drive up. The reception was very objective and correct. In the house there are insanely many small stairs and steps. For the disabled I would absolutely not recommend this place. The room was very small. And here's the catch. Where do the four stars come from? No minibar, no safe. The bathroom urgently needs a renovation. Black mold and rising joints in the shower. Nor was the maid really attentive. One day I only got one towel (small, old and frayed). Then none at all the next day. I was then generously pressed into my hand. The garbage was not disposed of. What was really great is the terrace. Also the Ukrainian service staff, was very nice, attentive and personable. The food was reasonably priced and quite good. Overall, I would recommend this place only very limited.

Quiet hotel
A nice hotel in a quiet location, a bit away from the hustle and bustle. Very positive was the dinner and the good breakfast. What we were missing (4 star hotel) was a fridge/minibar and a safe in the room. Nice is the view directly to the Wartburg.

Biggest disappointment of our lives
We wanted to celebrate a diamond wedding there and had reserved seats. It was supposed to be an unforgettable evening for my parents. When we asked about the table decorations two days beforehand, our reservation was simply cancelled and we were not given any seats. Without us being informed.
That is a huge mess. Never again. We would have arrived there and found ourselves standing outside the door.

wir können Ihre Kritik nach interner Auswertung so nicht unterschreiben.
Zur Wahrheit gehört doch ein wenig mehr:
Wir würden uns sehr freuen, wenn Sie sich einen Moment Zeit nehmen,
unsere Antwort in Ruhe annehmen und Ihre Bewertung nochmal überarbeiten.
Sie hatten einen Tisch für 8 Personen (Diamantene Hochzeit) telefonisch angefragt.
Ein Mitarbeiter unseres Hauses hatte die Reservierung entgegen genommen.
Da sich der Mitarbeiter noch in Einarbeitung befand, hatte er das Telefonat schriftlich
protokolliert, sodass eine Führungskraft unseres Hauses dieses kontrollieren konnte.
Unsere Führungskraft hatte am nächsten Tag, nach erwähnter Qualitätskontrolle, festgestellt,
dass wir bereits komplett ausgebucht sind (große Hochzeit > 80 Personen).
Das unser neuer Mitarbeiter dies nicht direkt festgestellt hat, bedauern wir selbstverständlich
und möchten uns in aller Form dafür entschuldigen.
Unsere Führungskraft hatte Sie am nächsten Tag über mehrere Wochen versucht telefonisch zu erreichen.
Leider ist ihr dies nicht gelungen.
Daher hatten wir Ihnen auf Ihrer Mailbox eine Nachricht hinterlassen, mit der Info, dass wir die Reservierung nicht annehmen können.
Bitte prüfen Sie einmal Ihre Nachrichten auf dem Anrufbeantworter.
Nach dem Sie sich 2 Tage vor der Veranstaltung telefonisch gemeldet hatten,
entschuldigten wir uns vielmals und konnten Ihnen den tatsächlichen Verlauf noch nicht schildern.
Dies haben wir hiermit gern nachträglich getan.
Nach allem Verständnis über Ihren Ärger, waren Sie am Telefon leider nicht zu beruhigen und
mit einer anderen vorgeschlagenen Lösung nicht einverstanden.
Sie forderten, dass wir unser Personal kündigen und die andere Hochzeit im Hotel absagen.
Keinesfalls sehen wir jegliche Schuld bei Ihnen, bitten aber um Verständnis, dass wir
