Nice short vacation

The hotel is very cozy, the location is nice, and everything else was also fine; one must like such things, but we felt very comfortable. The staff is very friendly, and the breakfast was good; one feels at home, everything is very casual. The food was plentiful and super delicious, with a nice beer garden and garden.

Experience value but not again

Everything is rustic (house, rooms, and furnishings). Very dirty. The staff is very friendly. Breakfast: everything that the supermarket has to offer. Dining in the restaurant is affordable, with large portions and tasty food. Rooms on the first floor are accessible via 17 steps. Not suitable for the disabled. Conclusion: not again.

The perfect getaway in Friesland

Mega nice old farm, friendly staff, dogs allowed , food like from grandma fine and big , right on the dike quiet and lots of nature highly recommended, Ca 6 Km from the city, nice different rooms, lovingly decorated

Great holiday in great surroundings

The wonderful days at Gulfhof were a good rest.
The staff was more than friendly, you could snag well with them and they were mostly reachable. There were few exceptions.
The breakfast offered is not extravagant but if you are on holiday in the Gulfhof you should expect a good bourgeois breakfast, because that was it. There were selected products and they were good! My personal highlight was the rose apricot jam.
In the adjacent restaurant, the quality continued the same way!
Not only were the portions adequate (they were so large that no one needs to go afterwards nor to the golden seagull, quote landlady), they were also very high-quality and you could taste the artisanal skills. Besides, the ratio between price performance is more than good!
5 minutes from the water, nice rural setting and yet nice and quiet even when guests sit in the beer garden.
Now we come to the comments.
We have a snapshot of cleanliness, there can always be a bad day but basically we complain at a high level. Yes, they are cleaned daily. And yes it could be cleaner but it was enough.
The room was a bit old but, it is a Gulfhof the pictures we foresaw also kept what they promised.
Bottom line: For couples who want a good, attractively priced and beautifully located accommodation the right thing.
Families with children depend on the size of the children. Either they love it or just not but eating for a longer duration in the restaurant is always such a thing even if it is good and priced very well it goes just with 4 people but in the money.
I'm telling you, we'll be back. As a couple and to eat as a family (plan is already in place)
