Great place - Clear recommendation!

In October 2025 I stayed for two nights at the Linde in Erbach. I only knew the hotel from the outside - it is located directly at the train station of Erbach and you always encounter it when you travel to or from Ulm via the southern railway by train. I had three days of appointments in Ulm and chose the Linde because I wanted a nice hotel outside the city with a restaurant. The distance to Ulm is no problem by car and because the train station is only about 50 meters away, a journey by public transport is also easily possible.
And I have to say: The Linde exceeded my expectations in all areas many times positively! That's why I like to take the time to post an extremely positive review here on TripAdvisor - because I can't get out of praising here.
I stayed in a deluxe single room in the annex. Parking spaces are available for hotel guests in sufficient numbers and are right outside the door. Optimal!
The check-in was very friendly, fast and uncomplicated. Even at check-in I felt very welcome by the staff!
The room was great - nice spacious, modern and well equipped. The decor is very tasteful with the successful choice of colours, parquet and exposed wood. In addition to a large, comfortable bed, my room had a couch with table, an armchair, a kitchenette, a desk, a large TV, a balcony and a large closet with safe. Everything up to date and very clean. Also the bathroom was great - especially the large rain shower was a real highlight for me!
I ate at the hotel on both days. And that was great too! The food selection is good and rich. There is something for everyone here. As a hotel guest it was also no problem to find a place for me in the evening. And the food itself is just great! You are also served quickly and friendly.
The breakfast buffet is smaller than you get in a large hotel, but lovingly arranged. There is everything you need for a good breakfast and special requests are absolutely no problem!
The check-out was fast and totally relaxed.
Last but not least, the staff is explicitly emphasized: Everyone was in a good mood, always looking after me as a guest and very accommodating.
In general, the price-performance ratio of the Linde is simply top! Many hotels, especially the high-priced hotels, could cut themselves off from the performance and service...
There was simply nothing I had to criticise about the linden tree.
If I travel back to the region around Ulm, then I will book the linden tree again without hesitation and stay there!

Never!

Impossible host - uncouth, rudely unfriendly - who wants to give up their money? In any case, the word host was not invented here, you are already stopped at the entrance by the innkeeper and pointed to the unkindest of the way.

Nice, luxurious, clean hotel with very friendly staff.

Very clean and nice hotel. The hotel owners are super friendly. We had a late check in, this was totally no problem. The rooms are very neat, super clean and luxurious. Fresh and nicely decorated. The beds are perfect. The hotel has family rooms, which are very spacious. There is even a small kitchen in the room. Nice shower.
The breakfast is good and very tasty. Overall a lovely place. We were passing through. Would have liked to stay in this nice hotel for a day longer.

Excellent family run hotel!

Fabulous hotel,family run,friendly! Gorgeous rooms in the new building at the side,even had a balcony,mini bar,very comfy beds.Breakfast was excellent great choice,scrambled eggs,smoked salmon,sausage,cheese,meats,olives,breads,fresh fruit including strawberries,yoghurts,muesli & much more all lovely & fresh.Very friendly & approachable owners.would highly recommend & definitely stay again when visiting my niece & her family in Erbach

Simply great

The hotel near Ulm is a fantastic family-run hotel with a top-class restaurant attached. The rooms are very large, with comfortable beds, large bathrooms and very large showers, all modern with balconies. Our room even had a small kitchenette with all the utensils and an additional seating area.
In the restaurant I ate the best roast beef with onions ever and at very reasonable prices. There are always two side dishes for every main course, usually a large side salad. Everything comes from the region, from meat to game, mushrooms to homemade spaetzle. The beer also comes from the region. Simply wonderful!
