Always worth a trip!

For the past 5 years, we have been coming back to the Traube. As a last-minute booking during the Corona period, we discovered the Traube, as we usually travel only to faraway countries around the world; we have taken the Traube to heart and come back every year 1-3 times for a long weekend.
In this case, the Traube is the destination, not Lake Constance. There have been times when we hardly left the hotel.
The wellness area and the sauna village are excellent, the rooms are also great, and the friendliness of the staff is worth mentioning as well.
The price-performance ratio is right in every respect, and the Traube comes highly recommended!

Highly recommended

We were the second time at the Hotel Traube am See in FN-Friedrichshafen and absolutely satisfied. Especially the friendly and polite treatment of the staff is to be emphasized as well as the excellent 4-course menu. Also the breakfast buffet is very sumptuous and varied.
This year we had a nice double room in the main house. Already on entering it smelled unpleasant, partly also in the bathroom of kitchen or canal.

Overall recommended

For an overnight stay we had booked a standard+double room with breakfast in the main house. There is a parking lot with 4 charging points at the main house. The room was OK, however, in the bathroom was a slight scent of sewerage. Not all television programs were well received. The sauna area is visually very nice and generous, unfortunately at the expense of lying areas. That was also the reason why we left after a run. The bar area is nice and the drinks received are good. The staff were very friendly overall, but there are no egg dishes available for order for breakfast. I'm sure a great hotel in summer.

Unfortunately disappointed

We stayed at this hotel for the fourth time and were looking forward to a nice stay. Unfortunately, our standard room in the main house did not meet our expectations this time: It was very cold, the beds were hard, the bathroom heated only by the mirror heating, and the glass sliding door offered no privacy. In addition, it smelled permanently unpleasant in the stairwell.
When we raised these points at reception, we were advised to choose a higher room category next time. We hope that the hotel will reconsider these aspects so that standard rooms in the main house can once again offer the usual comfort.
Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, dinner very delicious, except for the rather salty soup on the first night.
Reception staff tethered quite short, the "hearty" is unfortunately totally missing.
Wellness area very nice.

Wellness Hotel in Wine Region.

This Hotel is well maintained. Clean and spacious. Room decor looks good, the Wellness Area excellent and very clean. We arrived in the underground Parking which was very convenient. Check-in was quick and friendly. All information was given. The best surprise was the breakfast like in the best 5-star hotels . Well done.
