It was fun

We were here for the 3rd time..as always, everything was perfect..
Everything is always clean..everyone is very friendly..the price is also good and you can use the pool too..super..we will be back

Two stars, toe broken in the room

The receptionist in this small hotel also spoke Dutch, handy. We checked in at 30°, unfortunately it was so hot in our room without air conditioning. The bed was big but too soft. Just like the pillows.
The plumbing was fine, unfortunately the hot water (due to a malfunction, was later told) was already up at 8:00.
As I walked out of the bathroom and my girlfriend into it, I stubbed my right little toe hard against the awkwardly placed doorstop (see photo). Result: an afternoon in the Gronau hospital, broken toe. And a lot of pain when climbing stairs (lift was missing). Recovery: 6-8 weeks.
Breakfast and dinner were basic but fine. There was a separate smell throughout the hotel. The TV controls worked laboriously, there is NPO 1, 2 and 3.
The Dutch-speaking waitress consistently addressed us in German.
At check-out nothing was asked about our experiences.
The price of this room was not high, unfortunately neither was my review.
Tip: visit the cozy Münster (1 hour drive).

Beautiful cycling environment, arrangement no high flyer

Offer for Euro 129 for 2 nights including breakfast and 3 course dinner; what can you expect? Room was clean and in itself fine. Bathroom too. And coffee + tea possibility in the room, fine. We unfortunately had room 1 and that meant a bed with 1 side against a wall, very awkward and a small window. By the way, the hotel is close to a busy road so bring noise suppressors if you are sensitive to them. Breakfast is fine with plenty of choice. Dinner we found mwah...If you want to eat in the hotel you have to sit down at 18h. Three course menu has small portions and the desserts are very mediocre. But at this price you shouldn't expect a delight either. Outside is a terrace where unfortunately the greenery is squandering and the bins are not filled with cheerful plants oid. This could be much better. At 8pm the staff goes home and that means you have to order your last drink which you can then have on the terrace or in your room, because the seating area of the restaurant will be locked. We have been here mainly for cycling and you can do that surprisingly nice and good. And wonderfully quiet on the bike paths.

Nice, clean, and recommendable.

We can only recommend the place.
It looks clean; you use the restroom from the associated hotel.
All the facilities were very clean; you can order rolls if you wish - or have breakfast at the hotel.
Bicycle storage and charging options for bicycles are available. Each spot has a water and electricity connection.
We would gladly come back!

Nice stay at ds hotel gronau

Fine hotel nice spacious rooms, small scale there are 11 rooms friendly staff food was also good, no menu but food what the pot hauls. Nice area nice cycling routes.
