A very beautiful discovery

A very nice hotel, in an old house, perfectly located and responsive, friendly and available staff.

Brew pan good average

Three of us went spontaneously into the brewing pan in the evening. The service was attentive and brought the drinks and then the food. Everything was neatly prepared, but lacked aromas and taste, you could also say the preparation was a bit unkind. The wild boar bratwurst has no color from roasting, taste inconspicuous. The fried potatoes OK. Salmon with Rösti good standard. A little too expensive for what's on offer.

One of the best places we stayed, Great location

Great location and service with a great restaurant and bergapten, lovely front desk and very friendly, despite being in an old building and narrow spaces including single small elevator, this place is a gem and highly recommended. Just keep in mind it is not you average Hotel and fall more in to the "boutique " style category. very tight and limited parking but hey, they do have parking!

Traditional good food

We were at a workshop and got recommended this place. Traditional old tavern. The place is very cozy with live piano music and good atmosphere. Very good beer and delicious German-style dishes. The staff was very friendly and spoke good English. I would come back here again.

Felt Cheated

We felt Cheated.
Room with no bathroom and relocated to a room in a apartment building 900 meter away with a pub right below with music very load until 5 AM. Loud means that the bass tones transmited the vibration to the furniture. Imposible to sleep.
We have to leave and never got a refund.
We made the reservation through Booking.com.
When we arrived we were ask ro pay up front.
The room did not have bathroom. They said the bathroom was outside the room but It was only for us to use so they can published the room with bathroom. We wanted to leave but we had already paid and they would not refund us.
They offer another room with bathroom 900m away.
We accepted, bad error. It was an apartment building in a very busy and noisy street.
We were right above a pub with extrimely loud music. At 2 AM I went down to ask when they will close and they said around 5 AM.
I went to the original hotel and there was no one.
We have to leave in orden to sleep.
The next day I ask for a refund, but they said that they could not found the key to the room, so no refund.
Booking said that the hotel showed williness to refund but since the key was missing they had the right not to refund.
Charging upfront, misleading information about the bathroom and they know how to deal with Booking marking us as not show, so we could not wright a review, said that they were willing to refund us but could not find the key.
So they did not refund and avoid a bad review.
We felt that we were cheated and they are quite good at It.
Stay away.
