The positive aspects outweigh the negative in the end.
The rooms and bathrooms are showing their age. The shower temperature is a gamble between too hot and too cold. The quality of the food at breakfast or in the restaurant is a positive surprise. Top. The service is sometimes slow and inattentive even though there are not many guests.

Gleichzeitig nehmen wir Ihre Hinweise zu den Zimmern und Badezimmern sowie zur Duschtemperatur sehr ernst. Wir bedauern, dass Sie in diesen Bereichen nicht vollständig zufrieden waren und werden Ihre Anmerkungen intern besprechen, um Verbesserungen anzustoßen.

The apartment has a good size and amenities, the location is excellent, and the breakfast and service there are very good. The only minor "flaws": the sink is very small and there is no magnifying mirror.

The interiors were good, but unfortunately the outdoor area was not.
The apartment is high-priced and we chose it because of its prime location. Unfortunately, we could hardly use the outdoor areas. The front area is very overgrown, the wooden furniture is old, and there is no sun protection. The back area by the kitchen has no furniture at all and was littered with trash from the upper floors. In response to my complaint, only a minimum was addressed. The trash was collected and the table was replaced. The living room is very nicely furnished. The bed has a strange shape. The bathroom and kitchen look old. Unfortunately, I expected more from the apartment.

The proximity to the harbour could not be closer! Good location.
The room was small but clean. The area near the sliding door had a table, 2 chairs and 2 foot stools. It felt very cramped.
We spent Aus$977 for 2 nights and had to ask for fresh towels for the 2nd day and tea bags, 4 tea bags were provided. It seemed a bit paltry.
The reason given was to be environmentally friendly.
After requesting, which I do not like to do, the items were provided.
The room bin was emptied unasked at the same time of dropping the items off, but I would have expected house service to make the bed as well.
There was a nice intro to the island provided by the receptionist with a glass of bubbly.
The garden had lots of little sitting areas to be either secluded or to take in the beautiful view.
The breakfast is not to be missed! A great experience and it could not be any better!

2 night stay
We stayed at this hotel as our usual one had closed due to the owners moving on.
Hotel was awesome! Great history of Helgoland on show throughout the hotel. The rooms were well decorated and furnished to a high standard.
Staff were attentive and the breakfast tremendous.
We shall definitely return.
My Grandmother was born on Helgoland and I shall always return. It’s a very special place.
