Very nice hotel in the heart of Hilpolstein but with few staff
A very nice, tastefully decorated hotel in the middle of the old town of Hilpoltstein. We had a studio out to the backyard (if you want to sleep quietly, this is recommended, as eg the suites all go out front). The suite was very good, practical and also furnished to a high standard (e.g. oak floor). In the boxspring beds with two mattresses it was easy to sleep.
Small drop of anger: the hotel is usually not staffed. Early evening check-in was online and without staff. In the morning someone is there (the receptionist was also responsible for the preparation in the breakfast room). She was very nice, but quite challenged. The restaurant is closed permanently. Only as a bar from 5 p.m. you can get little things to eat there. Breakfast is bookable though (we had not booked because we had breakfast in the studio itself). It was also a pity that contrary to the information that the kitchenette in the studio was well equipped with dishwasher, sponge etc., we had to make a “starter kit purchase” in the supermarket. There was a heavily used little sponge, but no rinse, brush or anything like that. The crockery is also rather meager.
There is unfortunately no gym, but a sauna.
Our conclusion: the hotel is really nice and the staff (if there), very nice. The location is very good. There are plenty of opportunities to go out to eat in the village. We would definitely come back.

Really great
On transit to Austria we spent 1 night in this very nice hotel. Modern, spacious rooms with a 1a breakfast. Also the old town where the hotel (with kl. Underground parking for 8 € a day) is very cute. We'll remember that.

wonderful evening, great food!
We're from the area. Was there with a friend and our babies. Have dinner there. The food what we should say was excellent, a poem! We're not exaggerating. The service was great and our kids got something small to play with. We will definitely come back!

Nice hotel / top location
Rooms and furnishings very nice and comfortable. Modern bathroom. If the church bells don't bother anyone, it's great there. Great location. Service very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was great, everything was there and varied. We'd love to come back.
