Hotel visit
I didn't have such high expectations of a forest house at first, but when I arrived and already saw the large outdoor area (some converted stables to rooms with lots of green all around), I was already fully in recovery mode.I went to the reception and there you could see directly the quaint decor of the main house,very comfortably furnished with and the old beams preserved.The staff was consistently friendly.The evening meal a la card blew me away,the beef was excellent,the red wine was excellent.The breakfast ( 10 euros per person) was also excellent.Vkm scrambled eggs,over salmon to the smoothie there was a large selection.My room was in the annex with small outdoor terrace overlooking the green,was sufficiently large,(only the shower and the TV )could be improved.I was brightly enthusiastic and will come back.!

A lot of fuss, little quality.
We wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary with dinner at a restaurant. For that, we had reserved two seats. Unfortunately, the table assigned to us was anything but pleasant. The selection of dishes also did not appeal to us at all. However, we found the tone in which the waiter reprimanded the present guests to be particularly disturbing, in our opinion absolutely unnecessary. This is unworthy of a restaurant, especially one in this price range. We left without having our needs met and spent our evening dining in a more pleasant atmosphere.

Another Great Stay
We stayed here for the second time, the time for a friend's summer party which took place in the gardens of the main complex.
We were, again, in the modern Klostermühle complex, a five minute walk or one minute drive away for the historic mail hotel complex up a hill. The Klostermühle, the hotel building next to it has its name from, is a historic water mill which now serves as an event location for the hotel.
Our room, I would call it a junior suite, came in a mix of natural materials (wood, copper) and was very spacious, quiet and well appointed and had even a kitchenette.
Breakfast buffet in the main building left nothing to be desired.
Will happily return.

Peaceful, rural hotel near Bremen. Changed our route to go back there!
We stayed at Forsthaus Heiligenberg en route from London to Oslo, expecting an average country hotel. However we were pleasantly surprised. It might feel off the beaten track in its rural setting but this proved an asset as it was peaceful.
Our accommodation (in the Rosenquartier) was spacious, modern but well blended with the whole (period) property. Bed was comfortable, rain shower excellent. We had a small terrace (ground floor) looking into the woods where we went for a walk after dinner.
Dinner - during the asparagus season - was delicious. Breakfast was outstanding: full choice of cooked, continental etc, with excellent bread, local ingredients and a whole honeycomb!
Staff were all charming and helpful. Our alternative was a chain hotel but we found the personal touch here refreshing.
We liked it enough to change our route to stay again on our way back!

perfect romantic get-away
This property has several buildings, and 2 restaurants. We stayed at the recently added annex about 200m from the reception, built in 2016. Here the rooms are very modern, spacious and (at least our room) had a balcony overlooking a meadow with a small creek. The bathroom was luxurious and very neat. The staff was friendly and helpful at all times. The cost-benefit ratio is excellent and we would have loved to stay longer.
The hotel is an a small forest area suitable for some jogging before dinner or some walking to enjoy the quiet out of the way location. Though I am afraid the immediate vicinity of the hotel has nothing else to offer.
The hotel has a spa with 2 saunas which was very relaxing beautifully decorated.
In the evening we had dinner at the main restaurant which was very good, but pricey. We had a starter each & my partner had Tomahawk steak and I had the vegan pasta. Both were very well executed dishes with a twist and lovely presenatation. The restaurant close to the new building would have been less expensive but their menu is not a grand. In any case the service was excellent and we felt very tranquil on the large veranda, surrounded by a herb garden and soft lanterns.
The breakfast was superb. A huge variety of rolles and pastries, cereal/muesli, yoghurt, fruit, salmon, a honey comb(!), delicious coffee, english breakfast, cold meats & cheeses, fresh juices, pancakes... a dream.
We will definitely come here again!
