Always happy

A great hotel, quiet, top service, good restaurant and great wellness department with large pool. Nice surroundings and then a nice brewery that fits.
We come here more often now.

Nice & friendly

Remote and very rural is this now huge hotel-restaurant-event complex where you can comfortably stay and eat nicely. During our visit, there was a lot of celebration here, but nevertheless it was not loud. Recommended!

A nice, not quite cheap hotel in a very quiet and very green location. Ideal for visiting Walsrode.

We visited the Walsrode Bird Park and wanted to stay close to what we did at the Trout Farm. The hotel is great with restaurant we also used. It runs as a wellness hotel. Too bad there is only one indoor pool and the outdoor pond is now totally full of algae. You can't swim in it, but it's not pretty to the eye either.

4 star hotel that deserves none

We stayed 2 nights on the way to our vacation round trip, the first night the room was cramped and without comfort, we asked for another room for the return, we did receive another room, but equally small without comfort, without air conditioning, and the pompom, next to the staff dormitory that made noise all night. In conclusion especially do not let yourself be fooled by the beautiful photos. This hotel does not offer the services you would expect from a 4-star

A very stylish and individual owner-run hotel just outside Walsrode

The family business has been managed very wisely for generations and combines tradition with modernity. The classic trout farm with its associated fish ponds has become a modern individual hotel complex with various components: from camper van pitches to apartments to stylish superior suites in various buildings, spaciously located in Hünzingen, a small district of Walsrode.
Already in advance we found the communication with the friendly and dedicated team very professional, our questions and wishes were answered promptly and for us in such a way that we decided to book very quickly. We experienced this very good Service throughout our stay. We had chosen a double room superior in the new building - very spacious, individually designed and creatively furnished. The Trout Farm offers a rustic brewery next to the restaurant (with various premises), so guests have a good choice. The cuisine works very creatively with regional products, all dishes of the various carefully compiled menus (restaurant and brewery) are delicious and also visually special.
Small tip: the breakfast buffet could be a bit more varied for guests who stay longer - the kitchen can do it !
We were convinced by the spacious wellness area: from the swimming pool with plenty of space to relax, gym and above all the new sauna area with outdoor area: very spacious, very clean and well-designed.
The surrounding area also offers plenty of space for activities such as cycling or walking. We found a lot to discover in the surrounding villages and were very taken by the farm shops.
That is why we enjoyed the days at the Trout Farm very much and are especially impressed by the individual style of the hotel complex. Recommended.
