Lovely little guesthouse

Pretty guest house in what appears to have been a recently renovated building in the center of the sleepy little town of Ketzin on the Havel. Very chic and tastefully furnished. You immediately feel at home there.
The single room we booked was tiny, but adequate for one night. No wardrobe, but an old secretary with an equally antique chair gives the room charm. Comfortable bed. It's a shame that unhygienic carpeting was laid in the guest rooms instead of simply continuing the beautiful parquet flooring in the corridors. The bathroom was functional and modern. Everything looked as good as new and was impeccably clean.
The adjacent bistro serves as the reception, but it is only open until 4 p.m. Since I arrived later, I called beforehand to ask for the code for the key safe. That worked without a problem.
Breakfast was also in the bistro. The offering was surprisingly varied for such a small business and presented in an appetizing way. You certainly don't have to like being addressed informally as a guest without being asked.
Apparently there is a sheltered place to park bicycles (the guest house is not far from the Havel cycle path). Unfortunately, due to the lack of clearly visible signs, I was unable to find it when I arrived.

A little gem in a small Brandenburg town

This is a charming little gem in the small town Ketzin in Brandenburg. It used to be the manor house of a large farm, now it has been nicely renovated. The restaurant next door offers a good breakfast. The waterfront to the river Havel is nice and nearby, and so is a small castle of the Prussian kings. My daughter and me had a wonderful time there. Thanks for having us.
