Good and clean hotel…accessible as to the city by city train.. only 3 stop from the maun train station and your at cologne porz.. easy access as well to the AirPort .. really convinient place to stay !

3 star hotel, in the center of Porz, Cologne, reception, staff speaks only English or German, no Italian .. cmq, nice structure, very large room, huge bed, comfortable and clean double, room redone daily, spacious bathroom large shower, all toiletries, daily towel change .. Wifi working TV only German language... rich breakfast buffet both sweet and savory .. rich .. no espresso, only American coffee ..
The only drawback the outdoor parking does not exist, but underground parking not video monitored .. included in the price .. very close restaurants and bazaar, in the city center .. highly recommended.

Good hotel near the train station

Good hotel near the train station. The check-in was quick and hassle-free. Room and bathroom were clean. The room itself was large enough, the toilet was separate in the room and the shower was right in the room and not behind a separate door.
You just have to be careful not to head for the wrong hotel, which is just a few meters away another B&B hotel. The right hotel is located at the Aral petrol station.
I highly recommend it.

Budget is only the start, this "hotel" is terrible.

Ibis Budget Hotel is a very cheap hotel, so expectations were not very high. There are some things that everyone should be aware of though.
The first thing is the shower. Imagine my surprise when the shower was not in a bathroom, but right next to the bed in the main area. Combine this with a glass door and you have absolutely no privacy what so ever. If you were not close to your travel companion before, you will be now!
Another thing that is very important to know is that the rooms are advertised as able to accommodate 3 adults. This is a true to a certain extent. The small double bed can fit 2 adults that don't mind sleeping very close to each other and the third sleeping space is a bunk bed above the double bed. Now, so far everything is alright. What they don't tell you is that the bunk bed has a weight limit of 100kg and states that it is "used on your own risk".
In my opinion, a bed that you have to use at your own risk is not a bed that should be advertised as a sleeping area in the first place.
The last thing to be aware of is that very few of the staff speak any English, so there is not much use trying to get any help with anything here.
Stay at this hotel at your own risk - you have been warned.
