if you like a nice and not too crowded hotel close to the freeway this is it... a gentle and relaxed atmosphere i liked it alot.

Good value for money and would be event better with a few tweaks!

Hotel was in a good location and easily walkable to the local tram stop, which took 10 minutes.
I had booked a queen room and was allocated a twin room and they had no other rooms available to move me to the correct room type. There is no air conditioning in the rooms, so be aware that it is hot and stuffy in the rooms in warm weather. The kind man at reception did give me a fan that helped. The bathroom I had was not as per the pictures, it was an old style but everything worked fine apart from no hot water in the sink, but I could manage without it as it was very warm in the room.
It wasn't noisy for me, but this can always depend on the other people staying in the hotel.
It was clean and comfy beds.
Good value for money compared to the centre of Cologne.
You can request a kettle, but I think one in the room and fridge would be a nice touch to add for the hotel.

Cologne Mini Break

10 minute walk from tram stop. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Paid on arrival. Room is lovely and big. Large cupboards and a safe. Quaint seating area out front. Room and bathroom very clean. Was perfect for our mini break to Cologne. 24 hour reception.

Room was basic and not clean. We were told WiFi was available, it wasn’t. We booked and paid extra for a business room, we were given a standard room and refund was refused by the hotel. Not a bad location for getting to cologne city centre.

“The hotel is a bit far from the city center. It is 1 kilometer from the tram stop and 500 meters from the bus stop, and after that you have to walk uphill. Apart from the transportation issue, it is a clean and nice hotel. However, although we made our reservation on hotels.com with breakfast included, we learned at the hotel that breakfast was not included and we were asked to pay an extra fee. Even though we emailed the authorities, hotels.com claimed that the mistake was ours. It was the first time we encountered such a situation. Be very careful when making a reservation on the site.”
